I do love the fabric of SkinnylaMinx. And I love the idea of the log cabin block. Bars of wood around a cosy and warming fireplace.

another log cabin quilt for Habitat for Humanity....made by some of our quilt guild members, working most of the day....two full size tops...and two lap quilts...all to be given away.
Log-cabin blanket a la Mason-Dixon Knitting, out of my handspun, handdyed merino on US 10 needles. Each strip is 10 ridges deep. Edging is a row of single crochet. I love it!
Stonewall Jackson - one of the more famous generals from the US civil war - was from Virginia, by the end of the war West Virginia had split off and become a separate state, on the side of the USA. Jackson's family donated a sizeable chunk of land to make amends. My wife spent many summers here at 4H camp. .
