I'm really enjoying making these - I hope i'll be able to keep going and make a double quilt (maybe a bit ambtious!)
Rework of the same shot that I posted from the road. The first posting was converted from RAW to JPG using Photoshop Express on my mobile phone with a 4.7 inch screen. It does a decent job, but it's difficult to make any corrections or adjustments on such a small screen. This is the same RAW file, but processed at home using Photoshop Lightroom and Elements with Topaz Labs plugins.
Not that the subject needs very much work. This is such a stunning scene, I believe anyone could get a great photo with any camera, even one of the disposable film cameras. I don't think this mill has a bad side.
A good friend of mine, [https://www.flickr.com/photos/85226262@N05/] at JFM Designs is working on a pencil drawing of this that looks incredible so far, I am anxiously awaiting the reveal of his finished artwork.
On a cold, windy day four horses soak up the sun at an abandoned house in Montpelier, Idaho. Last night's storm covered the Preuss Range with snow but was mostly rain in the Bear Lake Valley. We will get our share soon enough.

I'm not old enough to recall living in a log cabin. I doubt that our generation could cope without all of today's conveniences.
How would you like to live in a Log Cabin? Now this log cabin is located in Weber City, Virginia. webercity.edefeed.com
... and a good view doesn't hurt. A classic uninhabited log cabin, somewhere along Engineer Pass, in the San Juan mtns., west of Lake City, Colorado.
This old huge hand hewn log cabin is at the Turkey Run State Park in Indiana.

i've been working on this pillow for a while. due to sewing machine problems and a lack of free time, it didn't get finished until now. i'm somewhat happy with it. i tried out a variegated machine quilting thread for the first time and i'm not totally happy with it. i liked how the quilting on the other pillows was a bit more subtle. but i still like this one - i mean, it has heather ross, amy butler and denyse schmidt fabrics so it's virtually impossible not to like! (at least in my opinion...)
loved this quilt so much i made a second one. always regretted selling the first one. made it bigger this time too! blogged at www.tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com
