I got this lovely yarn from a swap with JoAnn and after thinking a long time about a project worthy for the yarn, I hope this rather classical log cabin will do.

Did I tell you about this? I was quite blown away when one of my images was selected for a book cover a few weeks ago. I don't think it's in the stores yet but I haven't checked. If you see it let me know. Oh, and I now have this little project going as well: society6.com/CurtSaunier so you can get really cool covers for your iPhones and cards and prints!

This original Settlers Cabin was built in 1782 and has been rebuilt using 8-of it's original logs. It stands near its original location in the Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.

I thought this was a clever construction.

In my search for signs of spring I discover this delightful...well, old log cabin. I couldn't resist the interesting shapes, earthy colors....especially the roof! No touch-up here, it's all rust!

I wonder if the historical society has seen this yet?

This just looked like the perfect little house for me.

It is difficult to build on mountain, because terrain is so rugged. Pier foundation must be used. More log home information at www.loghomescabin.com
