Late afternoon jaunt up Going-To-The-Sun Road to Logan Pass. It's a challenging road for many: narrow lanes, steep drop-off, potential death. But what a reward! The first time is probably the hardest, especially if you've never driven mountain roads (must be quite the buzz!). But towards the top of the grade, amazing valley views unfold, unless clouds obstruct. Glacier National Park, MT (west).
Photographed in Philadelphia, PA just a few blocks away from the Philadelphia Museum of Art (the infamous Rocky Steps), and downtown.
Altoona, PA. April 2017.

It was a cold December day (2 degrees) when I found this break in the trees framing the Logan LDS temple.

I'm more of a full and fluffy dog lover, but anyone could have fallen in love with Logan - A 3.5 year old Greyhound who was rescued from a life of racing and kennels.

It was on my second time past the café where Logan sat that I decided he would make a good addition to the project. I was searching for a strong looking male and he fitted the bill perfectly with his Ned Kelly beard and the fact that he was a red head making it an even more compelling reason to ask him.
Logan was with 4 friends enjoying lunch when I interrupted and they all listened intently to my blurb. After the introductions Logan agreed without hesitation and we moved to a spot at the side of the café.
Logan is a very clever Industrial Designer who lives in Brisbane. His company Holloway Eyewear designs and manufacturers unique hand-made products and his wooden framed sunglasses are one those products. They, Logan and his crew, hand-craft each pair of frames using recycled timbers collected from old furniture, instruments, skateboards and whatever they can lay their hands on. They are now working on expanding their range of hand-made products using recycled materials as much as possible.
I shot Logan using off camera flash to the left, again with the help of Evan. This time I had much better results after dialing down the power a little.
