Logan Square is a smaller neighborhood loocated on the northwest side of Chicago. The area is characterized by the prominent historical boulevards, graystones and bungalow-style homes. At the center of the square, known as Logan Square is the Illinois Centennial Monument, built in 1918 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Illinois' statehood.

Logan Square has a number of ethnicities from Eastern Europe, (mostly Poles).

Mom and Dad came down to visit me for one weekend and Dad asked me how to get to Lake Logan because he had seen my pictures of the place on facebook. We saw these intensely dramatic clouds and just a few minutes later it started to rain.

Thought I'd post this for those of you contemplating a trip to Logan Pass in the next few weeks. We drove the pass the day after the road opened and were greeted by 4 to 6 feet of snow still on the ground! Looks like it'll be weeks before summer sets in up there! The next couple of days include 90 degree weather in Whitefish, so hopefully that'll speed things up. Oh yeah, the little guy throwing snow balls is my son Landon. The little man is growing up fast and always wants to be outside throwing rocks (or snow) and bombing down hills on his Skuut bike. Can't wait to get him into the backcountry when he's a bit older.

I'll be in the Glacier area until the first week of August, so if anyone out there would like to get together for some shooting drop me a line. It'd be great to have the company!
