Alright guys, it’s here. Hugh Jackman last ‘bout as Wolverine. I can’t believe that he’s been playing since 2000, that’s almost as long as I’ve been alive. Now I’ve never been a huge fan of the X-Men films, Deadpool and Days of Future Past are the only two that stand out in the bunch for me, but I was still pretty Excited to see Logan. The trailers were amazing, and this movie is sort of an event film, seeing this iconic character on screen for the last time is pretty special, no matter how much you liked or disliked his previous movies. Anyways, I saw this movie yesterday, but I’m just writing this review now because I’m been sucked into Breath of the Wild. So, is Logan the proper send off for Hugh Jackman, or was it a dud? Let’s check it out!
Good: This film was stunning. It was emotional, and it was beautiful. People aren’t underaggagerating when they compare this movie to the Dark Knight, it’s very similar in both tone and quality. This film is so unique from the rest of the superhero films. It’s a sci-fi western and the overall story is very small scale, but that why it works because it sacrifices giant end-of-the world situations for serious character development and incredible writing. When I saw Wolverine in this movie, I had the same reaction to him when I saw Ben Affleck as Batman, this portrayal as Wolverine IS the Wolverine we all know from the comics. And since this movie was rated R, we got the see the Wolverine action we all wanted since the first X-Men movie! There are some action scenes that will be compared to the Civil War airport fight, the Batman warehouse scene in BvS. Now obviously Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was my favorite part of this movie, but Patrick Stewart’s Professor X was also incredible. Professor X in this movie was tragic, and it was so sad to see him as he is in this movie. I’m not going to spoil anything, but there are some things that have happened before this movie that just makes you feel so bad for him. But he’s also very funny in this movie too. I talked with my friends after the movie and they said that his humor was very unneeded, but I completely disagree. In a movie that was as dark as this, the sentimental humor really worked. Ok now I gotta talk about X-23. Laura Kinney was amazing in this film, she was so badass and I loved seeing her kick total ass and kill some fools! Now I’m not going to go into the story because I really want you guys to go into this movie as blind as possible, so all I’m going to say is the story was great with some incredible twists and turns!
Bad: There’s not much to complain about in this movie. I’d say this movie felt really long, but it made it feel more of a journey and I want to spend as much time as I can with these characters before they go. I’d say my only complaint with this movie is the villain or villains. The villains weren’t all that memorable and I think if they went with some X-Men villains that were more iconic, they’d be better. Like there was no reason that the villains weren’t some iconic characters, like the villains were just scientists and soldiers which could’ve been replaced with characters that we’ve been waiting to see on the big screen.
Overall, tears were shed once the credits rolled. This movie is definitely going to be in the top five greatest comicbook movies of all time, but I don’t think it’s even in my top ten favorite. Like, I know this movie is incredible and near perfect, but there are some films that I just prefer more and that speak to me more. But I can’t deny that Logan will be in most people’s top list, which is completely fine with me. So for these reasons, I’m going to give Logan a 9.5/10. Go see this film as soon as you can. X-Men fan or not, you’ll like it. This is one of the few comicbook films that transcend it’s own genre and I believe will be known as just a good film.

A Dacia Logan with German plates is quite rare as the saloon version is not sold over there. Like in the Netherlands only the MCV wagon version is available in Germany.

My sister-in-law's little rescued boy, Logan! He is a sweetheart! When we traveled to Arkansas recently for a visit, he seemed to know that we were dogless- having left our 3 with the vet for boarding- and he made a special effort to comfort us! :)
Port Logan is a beautiful village with a sandy and sheltered bay on the Rhins of Galloway. It is south of Portpatrick and just to the north of the Mull of Galloway – Scotland`s Lands End. Port Logan was the main location for the BBC series 2000 Acres of Sky. More recently, Port Logan Harbour was a location for the film Keepers starring Gerard Butler and Peter Mullan, premiered in Scotland in February 2019. The bell tower at the end of the harbour was designed by Thomas Telford. It was the perfect place this morning for a circular walk into the hills with stunning views across the sea and then back for a picnic lunch.
Well, inspired by Logan's Run, it's not trying to be too accurate. After our lockdown ends here in Melbourne I'd like to pick some some fabric patches to try out for a better dress.
SEASCAPE
Port Logan, formerly Port Nessock, is a small village in the parish of Kirkmaiden in the Rhins of Galloway in Wigtownshire. The Gaelic name is Port Neasaig.
Port Nessock Bay is now all that remains of the western end of a strait that in post-glacial times separated the main part of what is now the Rinns of Galloway from three smaller islands to its south. There was a ruined pier in the bay in 1790, at which time kelp and samphire were gathered on the coast to the south.
The village was planned; it was created by Colonel Andrew MacDowall (Douall), the laird of Logan, in 1818. MacDowall erected a quay and bell tower designed by Thomas Telford, and a causewayed road leading to them. This causeway blocked the view to seaward of the existing houses on the Lower Road (Laigh Row), whose inhabitants MacDowall expected to move to a new Upper Road; in the event, they welcomed the shelter it provided from the brisk onshore winds, and preferred to stay put, though subsequently most of them added a second storey so recovering some of the sea view.
Swann Memorial Fountain
Fountain of the Three Rivers
The fountain, by Alexander Stirling Calder designed with architect Wilson Eyre, memorializes Dr. Wilson Swann, founder of the Philadelphia Fountain Society. The Society had been planning a memorial fountain in honor of it's late president and founder. After agreeing that the fountain would become city property, the Society was granted the site in the center of Logan Circle.

Y si me niego a ir pone, concretamente:

Total, que mejor perder un dÃa en tachar nombres que un mes en la cárcel (?).

The village of Port Logan stands on the east coast of the Rhins of Galloway some 12 miles south of Stranraer and 7 miles north of the Mull of Galloway. Its main focus is a single line of houses and cottages which face towards Port Logan Bay from behind the higher level road between them and the beach.
The origins of Port Logan date back to 1682, when the local McDouall lairds built a pier and a village which was originally called Port Nessock. In 1788 Colonel Andrew McDouall of Logan commissioned work at the north end of the bay on the Logan Fish Pond. Over the next twelve years an almost circular rock pond was constructed by expanding a natural blow hole in the rock. The pond housed a range of fish caught at sea and stored here to ensure freshness. While the water was naturally changed at each high tide by means of a grille, the residents were unable to escape.
Today what is known as the Logan Fish Pond and Marine Life Center is approached along a track that curves round the north side of the bay. Visitors enter through an arch in a remarkable white cottage which comes complete with castellations and arrow slits. Access to the main 50ft diameter pond is via steps cut into the rock of the shoreline.
It was also Colonel Andrew McDouall of Logan who, from about 1810, promoted the development of a new harbour and village at what became known as Port Logan. Proposals were made by the engineer John Rennie for a new harbour in 1813, but these initially came to nothing. Work eventually got under way in 1818 and finished in 1820. What was built was rather less ambitious than the initial plans, with a breakwater protecting the entire bay being omitted. The most surviving striking feature of the harbour is the lighthouse built at the seaward end of the pier.
Part of the harbour development involved the building of a causewayed road leading past the fronts of the existing houses and cottages in the village. The residents were expected to move to new, higher level houses, to be built by McDouall, but in the event were happy to exchange their lost sea views for the extra protection from the sea and wind afforded by the new causeway. This explains what today seems one of the oddest features of the village. Port Logan harbour was active for a number of decades as a landing place for Irish cattle being imported into Scotland, but it became clear fairly quickly that it was not going to be able to compete with Portpatrick as the main focus for Irish trade, which had been McDouall's ambition.
Port Logan today is probably not a great deal bigger than it was in 1820. At is eastern end you find the Port Logan Bay Hotel, while to its west, between the end of the village and the harbour, is Port Logan Hall. A mile and a half north of Port Logan is Logan Botanic Garden. It is one of three specialist gardens in different areas of Scotland that form part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Its southerly location and the warming effect of the Gulf Stream means that Logan Botanic Garden enjoys an exceptionally mild climate, and as a result it has become home to a remarkable collection of exotic plants, especially from New Zealand and Tasmania.

Oh man, now a Logan Trailer! Keep it going Marvel. I'm very excited for this movie. I'm thinking about making a time line (to my understanding) and posting it. Should I?
