This Monday for a change I thought I would post a nature shot
A couple buffalo males fighting for dominance in the group.
They locked horns and butted heads …hmm, sounds like politicians.
So today’s HBM stands for Happy Bison Monday!
This caught my eye. Clean well balanced tree with a bike double locked to it. Leather saddle bags and a red basket on the back.

Lock gates on the Forth and Clyde Canal, near Falkirk. I'm always impressed with these feats of historic engineering (even more impressive when you see a series of stepped locks, like Neptune's Staircase), allowing boats and barges to move onto a different height level of the canal. The water constantly sluicing over the top of the gates was just crying out for black and white pics.
This is a different lock for a different gate from the one previously posted. In fact, there are six locks attached to the gate. Various people and organizations are authorized to open this gate, so long as they don't let the cows out.

I rarely have time to watch series, but I managed to find time for 'The Young Pope' and 'The New Pope,' which, superficially, seem to be about religion and the church, but in reality, they tackle the most fundamental questions of human existence. It attempts to uncover the atomic particles and driving forces of the human soul, which we often overlook as we try to survive another day in our crazy world while denying our ability to understand, more deeply than any other species in the animal kingdom, our own existence and the world around us.

A lock is a device used for raising and lowering boats, ships and other watercraft between stretches of water of different levels on river and canal waterways. The distinguishing feature of a lock is a fixed chamber in which the water level can be varied. (thanks Wiki)
Taken in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Walking around the back of this building, I found this little door. The door, latch and hinges look like some I've seen on coolers, but smaller than most. I'm guessing it was an outside access to a cooler of some sort, but the building really gave no clue. It's certainly been there a while, but is held closed by a rather new looking padlock.
