Got locked in here and they took all my clothes except my undies and my walk-man, what else should I do now....

During my first ever trip to Brooklyn Bridge Park, I saw all these locks on the guard rail. Some of them have really awesome character now after being battered by the weather. This particular one caught my eye and, therefore, became the subject of my photo! It was also the 1,000th image I've taken with my new camera! I guess she's broken in, now... :-)
[8/52] I found this padlock between others on a bridge parapet. people come there, put there lock on the bridge and throw the key into the water. on this way, they want to seal their love :) but this one looked like a locked heart for me. and the key for it lies in the water.....
this is of course another old shot, i still miss my camera, the same things as always...thank you for your comments yesterday, i was really confused because of these blogs and i'm still not sure. anyway, thanks, you really helped me (:

I always look into the Brighton Marina lock as I walk across each day. The contents of the water vary from day to day. There’s usually bits and pieces of plastics and debris and often the remains of oil on the water. Whether or not I photograph it is always dependent on the light and the reflections. Today I stopped to watch the colours of the oil and noticed that the rain was falling heavily and creating lovely dark circles contrasting with the colourful oil.
For a short time these bucks seemed to have their antlers locked, but came loose and separated. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
Netham Lock
Netham Lock is the point at Netham in Bristol at which boats from the River Avon, acting as part of the Kennet and Avon Canal, gain access to Bristol's Floating Harbour.
Construction started in 1804 to build the tidal New Cut and divert the River Avon along the Feeder Canal to the harbour; a system designed and built by William Jessop and later improved by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
A weir carries the river into the New Cut and boats use the adjacent lock. High tides often pass over the weir, and the river is effectively tidal to the next lock upstream at Hanham. Some spring tides can also pass over the weir at Hanham, making the river tidal as far as Keynsham Lock.
Access to the harbour is only possible during the day when the lock keeper will open the gates unless the water level in the river between Netham and Hanham is above or below the level of the harbour.
The lock-keeper's cottage, built in the early nineteenth century, is a grade II listed building and has a plaque listing it as Bristol Docks building number 1.The floral displays around the cottage and on the banking have attracted praise.
Netham Lock and the weir form part of Bristol's flood defence mechanisms and it was announced in December 2008 that they would be upgraded as part of the £11 million City Docks Capital Project.

After the excitement of the DMU with locked wheels and around the 47/50/41/31 combo a series of freights passed through Chesterfield - some alternative views to those from Tapton Bridge.
66550 heads south on the 6X73 Doncaster to Toton engineers now being run by Freightliner opposed to GBRF. The collection of photographers on the bridge awaiting the passage of the convoy to the Keighley and Worth Valley.
A couple of narrow boats work their " way " along the River Wey Navigation and are now passing through Millmead Lock in the centre of Guildford .
