Sadly the wire mesh lobster traps are more common now, but there are still some old fashioned wooden traps left.

this was the only stack of the old wooden lobster traps i came across in my travels. a lot of fishermen have switched to the woven pots.

A great subject for photography. So colorful, varying shapes, etc. I'm talking lobster buoys in general, not this shot especially. Eh, I don't think all of these are lobster buoys. Any experts out there?
Mels lunch........we saw him being plucked live from the tank too!! Mel had to cover its eyes while she ate it.......it had an angry stare.
