I had this idea in my head, and the grid wouldn't work with 31 layouts, so I decided to go with it and use the BW theme for the title/journaling/embellishments. This has been such a great experience! I'll scrap more efficiently in a style I like and I won't buy a bunch of stuff I don't use. It will also be a long time until I cut out 30 tiny photos again...maybe October?

Another photograph from the Castlecroft night-shoot on the 19th February 2011 with barrels being off-loaded from the Beverley's dray wagon into a van behind 'May'. This shot has been tonemapped to create a different effect to the norm.
I'm afraid this load contains photos not well-composed or taken. I'm not skillful in taking indoors, low-light photos. Plus we were also seated and could not freely walk around for most of the time inside this Grand Hall here, as our wonderful tour guide was explaining to us the symbols and interesting facts of this massive meeting hall.
The Freemasonry is full of sometimes mysterious symbols of Medieval, Middle-Eastern, Roman, Greek, Christian, Jewish, Royal, mythical, astronomical, astrological and geometrical origins.

The Freemasons believe in higher power and the importance of morality but Freemasonry is not a religion by itself, but members are expected to have a religious or spiritual belief. As such, a Mason (as Freemasons are often known as) may be a Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, Jew or any other religion. The Masons perform ceremonies and rituals and take solemn oaths concerning their behaviour both in the Lodge and in society. Members also promise to keep confidential the way they recognise each other when visiting another Lodge. Because of that, the Masons over the centuries have always had a reputation for being a secret society. Freemasonry has been concerned with the care of the less fortunate and help for those in need.

In my fourth entry for the Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Star Wars comunity build/ contest/ whole lot of fun on Eurobricks (wow, that's a mouthful. just believe me when I say it's loads of un), my character is dispatched to investigate a possible site for the construction of the base on the forest moon of Endor. Seeing the destruction, he goes further down the path of uncertainty and questioning the war. The full story (with full, I mean 1000 words) is on Eurobricks .

The convoy approaches the Greater Manchester boarder.
Yesterday (17/7/12) Greater Manchester Police and Cheshire Constabulary escorted one of the largest abnormal loads to be moved on the region’s roads for many years.
The load, an electricity transformer, was being moved from Ellesmere Port to Rochdale on a specialist vehicle. The total weight of the vehicle and load was almost 450 tonnes.
Cheshire Constabulary escorted the vehicle to the Force border where Greater Manchester Police took over the duty.
The two forces, local authorities, Network Rail, and the Highways Agency were involved in detailed planning of the operation to ensure that the vehicle reached its destination safely and caused as little disruption to normal traffic as possible.
The Greater Manchester leg of the journey began at 8pm and concluded in the early hours of the morning.

it ain't often that i struggle with scrapbooking. i don't usually use sketches and i don't really plan. i go with the flow and throw it all together. and for the most part, this works for me. every now and then i'll sit back and wait-debating if a page is "finished." not this month. i struggled with nearly every aspect of load. i was pretty much non-existent in the comment section of the gallery. my pages weren't all finished and some didn't even have photos! i would sit and stare and re-watch the video prompt over and over. lain usually challenges me in a good way, but even though i have 29 layouts...i'm not thrilled. i'm looking forward to the next round...after a much needed break. who am i? day 29 february 2012"

Going for an easy lo tonight. I used a template and pretty much just plunked everything in. While I am totally excited about all I (we've) accomplished I have never done this much scrapping and thinking of scrapping before and I am tired! (But hooked for sure -I'll be back in May!!)

Slightly off prompt but I've chosen a picture of Grand Central Station in NYC which I'm sure was very innovative at the time it was built. I also used my brand new Scraptastic kit.

Well Alice, you asked for a family tree - and boy have you got one! LOL This is the first five generations above me. I love tracing my family tree - not so much for the numbers and how far I can go back (though FYI I have over 2000 on there going back to 1537), I love figuring out their stories. I have blogged some of them here: lookingbackhf.blogspot.co.uk/ Recently I have spent a lot of my time chronicling my gt gt grandfather's life, he has a real rags to riches story (sadly the riches didn't last much beyond him!). A bunch of local log truckers got together to do a charity run for a dying friend. The best part was that Toad got to drive his truck in to town-at the head of the 28 truck convoy!
I'm proud to say that I was a part of it. With the donations from the loads, a free will offering afterwards and a charity auction we raised $28 000 for his family!
