Adding in some color through Sharpie pens now. I like where it's headed. I'm gonna let it sit for a while because I don't want to add too much, but I need to come up with a plan for where it goes next.

This is a lino print of water from Jen Baker. The (intentional) ICM gives it an ocean like feel. It was made at Grace as part of an advent service 'Smoke is rising'.

I always forget how long it takes to carve a lino block, print, revise that block, print again, revise and print yet again. Think this one’s as done as it’ll get. #metroperspective #lenfant #dc #linocut #linoprint
©2012 Julia Forsyth, EAGLE OWL EMERGING FROM HIS MATTE MEDIUM HIBERNATION, paper on lino block, 5" x 8"
This is a pic of what the copied drawing looks like about a quarter of the way revealed. The drawing transferred from the paper onto the lino block. I'm gently coaxing it out by dabbing the paper with a damp paper towel in small sections. Then I slowly rub in a circular motion to find a hacked-looking eagle owl staring back at me through his paper haze.
