I viewed the refinery from the Waterbird Regional Park, looking across the marsh and Interstate 680. It refines gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. It was built in 1915 by Shell Oil Company, and sold to PBF Energy in 2020.

It is in Martinez, California, about 12 miles from my home in Walnut Creek. It is just south of the San Joaquin-Sacramento River Delta. January 23, 2023

i thought i better start learning about art two years ago. this year i continued with 'life drawing class'' and we had to do two-minute sketches from three-minute poses. this isn't the one i did in class in pencil, it's a copy of it transposed to my first moleskine for the moleskine exchange.

Caught the drawing bug again.

Line drawing of one of my cameras. More or less, this is how one of my cameras looks here on Flickr. A very minimalistic drawing, you can see it right here on the right as Flickr shows it. :) âž¡

sometimes simple is so much better than fancy. This one made my day.
