wondered why
danger signs
are in red?
it proves the
point that we
are in need
of rescue
from our
own damaging
ways at times
often there
are signs
posted
perhaps with
flashing lights
and sirens
we run them
we ignore them
we avoid them
they are there
to protect us
to provide
the reminder
that life
has limits
it has rules
we must
abide to
aligning ourselves
with these boundaries
can be a challenge
we may take a wrong turn
getting lost for a time
but if we search within
our inner compass
will right our way
