On Sunday an instructor friend and I gave a photo class in the Golden Gate Park of San Francisco for Match .com on behalf of the Digital Photo Academy. Part of our message to take compelling images is to keep an open and curious mind, like your 5 year old self. Lo and behold, a bunch of walking daisy flowers and butterflies passed by, perfect to let the curiosity flow.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

The Brazos River flows through the heart of Texas. A focal point for early settlers in the new Republic, the river runs north to south through central Texas. Today three dams create reservoirs on the Brazos in order to control floods and generate power on the river. Pictured is the middle of these reservoirs which bears the name of the biggest town on the lake, Granbury. Even though it is the smallest of the Brazos’ reservoirs, it measures over 33 miles long and has a 102 miles of shoreline.

Paseo Fernando Quiñones is located at one end of La Caleta beach and is formed by a long and narrow promenade over the sea. This narrow strip of land is actually called an isthmus because it has water on both sides. This bridge connects the mainland with the nearby Cádiz Lighthouse and the Castle of San Sebastián that is found at the end of it. This walkway has wonderful vistas along with stunning views of the sunset!

Five image hand held HDR. This afternoons sunset taken in our street. And of course I meant to capture this bird as it landed on the Lightpole! ( If you believe that I can get you some shares in the Sydney Harbour Bridge really Cheap! lol )
Berea is the "hot spot" railfan location in the Cleveland area, and over the last 35 years I could not tell you how many pictures I have taken there from the ground. This was my first day looking at this familiar spot from the air, and in this scene, a "one-unit wonder" eastbound CSX stack train passes the former Big Four depot, which is now the Berea Depot restaurant.

Here is my favourite building in Madrid. Torres Blancas was built in the 60's and is a feast for sci-fi eyes. The sheer weirdness and quirks of its striking design left me there for well over an hour, with my mouth open, repeating the words "oh my god" over and over inside my head.
It's one of those buildings where the more you look at it, the more intricacies you notice - from patterns evolving over different sections, to the window shutters which can be left open or closed. Even the ground surrounding it is covered in circles.

Looks like a small art deco box and canopy Gulf Station with porcelain panels. I'm guessing this was built in the 1950s or 1960s before Hwy 59 (now I-69) bypassed the the city in the early 1970s. That livestock trailer makes it for me.
Mixed Light Series:
Daylight just passed into dark night and the parking lot lights wake up. The rural supply store's lights come on highlighting the red awnings and shed light on the stacks of supplies that point to the upcoming Spring chores.
