On my way back home, and almost there I see this beaitiful rainbow, almost ending in my house. Home is where the heart is.
This is the view to the northeast from near where Powers Ferry and Delk intersect. Converting the image to monochrome allowed me to add more depth without making the colors wacky.

I used to stand near this pole while waiting for the school bus back in my elementary school days. Some of those staples might be older than me!

I grew up the in 70s and sometimes I wish I can go back and relive those years.Yes,there was drugs, crime and violence back then in the city like today, but life was simple and less complicated.I had wonderful friends growing up.We hung out together a lot,but now they've moved.Every now and then I'll call to check in on them because you never wanna lose touch of old friends.I also miss my family.I grew up in a fairly large household with six brothers and a sister. All are departed now including my parents,so it's just my brother out west and myself left.I try not to think about them so much, but who can forget family?
I guess that's why I share photos on Flickr just to be around great friends like you.All of you have been so kind and supportive with favorites and wonderful comments, some of which are very encouraging.I can feel a great connection to some of you and can sense that you are good people with good hearts.God bless you all,and do have a great and safe weekend.

I took this from the bridge leading to the new section of the Chicago Art Institute which provides a great vantage point to the skyline along the west side of Millennium Park.
I created this panorama by stitching together 9 vertical shots.
It is snowing this morning and I like it. It fits my melancholy mood today. I wish the lightpole wasn't in the picture.

… not very noticeable, the triangular pattern in rightmost is the skyscraper called The Bank of China Tower with height of 315.0 m (1,033.5 ft) high (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_of_China_Tower_(Hong_Kong) )
… I did not try to smooth out the noise caused by high ISO, I enhanced the noise as texture instead … does this work ?? … : ))
Sunday morning walk around Austin, TX. I focussed on the street art of the moment and architecture of the downtown area.
I took this through a window in the Chicago Cultural Center which has a great view of Millennium Park. This is the northwest corner of Millennium Park known as Wrigley Square.
Last weekend we had unhealthy air quality here in Midwest, AQI being close to 200! Reason for that was the ravaging wildfires in Western Canada and the smoke from them flowing all the way to our area here in the United States.
The presence of smoke in the sky made everything look hazy and created the redder sun phenomenon. This photo was taken minutes before the sunset, along the highway in Chicago area.
In the meantime, have you noticed how cool contemporary automobile wheels look?
