"Chris Burden’s Urban Light (2008). Situated on Wilshire Boulevard at the museum’s entrance, the sculpture incorporates 202 vintage street lamps of 17 different designs from various cities in and around the Los Angeles area. Urban Light joined LACMA’s collection in February 2008 as a gift from the Gordon Family Foundation to “Transformation: The LACMA Campaign.” In honor of the 10th anniversary, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) has generously supported the replacement of all 309 incandescent light bulbs with LED bulbs, resulting in approximately 90% in power savings for LACMA while also reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and other harmful pollutants." -LACMA.org

Sometimes you need to think inside the box.
To get this shot, I had to remove the lens and then resemble camera inside the light pole.

It is again 55 below today and even though we had plans to go to town neither truck nor car would start ...plans of mice and men huh ?
i pulled again from my file of photos ..this one seem to sum up my feeling today nothing is always perfect ..just like this statue half million dollar statue facing telephone lines and old beat up housing area and the sun always hits it from the rear..very poor planning on the Artist indeed.... but that is what you get from an artist who only works and never sees where the article will sit .....money well spent indeed Alaska ...I really do need to get away
This is a natural black and white

From tonight's walk in the Old Town of Stavanger. The only street in town (I guess, and hope) ; ) where they still have Christmas decoratios.
I have a luxury problem. There have been so many beautiful days and nights for photographing the last week, that I have too many nice photos to edit and upload ; ) But I guess the rainy days for editing will come...

We have had a very wet spring and this sort of sky wasn't unusual. Thankfully it is starting to warm up a little with more sunshine so now feeling like spring should feel!
I never used to think I had intrusive thoughts. I'm not sure what I thought they were before. Anyways, that's why I called this thoughts like rain because sometimes that's how it feels. The thoughts fall upon you and you just exist for the thoughts to roll across. I remember this day. I was cold in the dark taking photos until my camera was dying. I kept thinking about a tall man story and creeping myself out. What would you do if you were out taking photos and you saw a very very tall nude man leering at you. He is like a light pole looking upon you with the man made structure that he'd break in his palm because he wants to chase you in the dark. Maybe one day I'll write a short story. I did not see a tall man. I was just very cold feeling lonely among other things that I don't need to dissect here. Just know I didn't know what to call this photo and these thoughts came up.
