Our river broke the bank and this is what happened to our local warf. My darling sister was kind enough to brave the cold water and waded to the warf and climbed up and posed. Enjoy. xx
A closer look-- yes, there is a bird on top of that pole!
After many times driving past the rail yards where the Gyrfalcon was reported, I finally had my first look at it. It's a "lifer" for me, so I'm happy. I'm hoping that I'll see it again under better lighting conditions. February 20, 2013
The project’s 97 bases were installed over the course of several months. The designers and city officials are very happy with the way the project turned out. Products shown: Light pole base in Round Rusticated texture
The east approach of the Cass Street Mississippi River bridge in La Crosse, Wisconsin, during a foggy November morning.
I pulled into a small parking area behind a local business to snap the old wooden door on their garage. When I pulled out I turned the opposite direction from which I had come and noticed this tree casting it's shadow on the street side of the building. Since there was no traffic at that moment, I backed up and snapped it.
Here's the odd thing, the side with the door is built of cream colored bricks, but the street side is faced with much larger yellowish stones. I realize that cream brick was made locally and was cheaper than other building materials, but this is a storage building, possibly originally a stable. I also wonder why the window was later bricked in. The windows on the other side are covered with wood. (See next shot)

It ended up like a set from Judge Dredd, for some reason. And sometimes that's exactly the feeling I get.
Hand-constructed wooden fire extinguisher container. Imagine a hairdo inspired by the lightpoles on the top level of the distant parking garage. "Expo Stucco" behind a translucent plastic film.

alloween in Bristol - Oct. 30, 2021. Saturday night, Oct. 30, 2021 in Bristol featured a number of activities, from trick or treating in town neighborhoods, to Trucks and Treats in Congdon Park with Trucks & other vehicles, Food Trucks, Candy and fun for all. Also trunk and treat events at churches and the American Legion here held on the same evening. The old funeral home porch was decorated for Halloween, and trick or treaters were invited to view and pose with the spooky characters on the porch and get their candy from a costumed Witch. Downtown light poles were decorated with corn stalks collected by a hardy group of Town volunteers, and the flower pots on the corners were decorated, too. Other around the town decor is shown & Thanks to Heather Haines for Congdon Park Event Photos.
