(Josu Sein)

I did a custom sampler for a friend's girlfriend's Christmas present. She is a big David Bowie fan and loved this :)

"As an eagle, weary after soaring in the sky, folds its wings and flies down to rest in its nest, so does the shining Self enter the state of dreamless sleep, where one is freed from all desires." - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Taken under a Full moon. You can actually see a star above the lightning bolt.

Dani, chegou!!! \o/

After shooting a nice sunset down at the Ski Club boat ramp we notice a great storm to the south. We headed straight down the wharf and managed to get these couple of photos. All colours are 'as shot'

Taken from my balcony with tripod and 8 s exposure. Unfortunately most of the thunderstorm passed from the other side of the house.

Early morning hours of 06/04/2014:

Epic lightning storms produce branched CG (cloud-to-ground) return strokes from the parent thunderstorm's front edge in the late night/early morning sky.

I had to keep an umbrella over my camera to get these shots, but it was so worth being soaked by rain!

Sorry I waited a long while to upload more from this night; I've been posting a lot of photos lately, although that's not a bad thing I figure stretching out time span between uploading doesn't hurt :)

Thanks for looking!

Grool Grubnibbler made it rain on Canal City Road. Only the Weather Wizards were powerful enough to stop the rain. Dizzywood Explorers collected 15,000 lightning bolts to help the wizards put a stop to it.

Electric Bolt/Lightning Bolts printed in silver metallic ink on very thin blue paper, sheet consists of 704 electrifying squires, circa 90’s, this print circulated through the 80’s and 90’s in red, pink and yellow, I think that I read somewhere that this print was related the Brotherhood of Eternal Love?

A Texas thunderstorm had developed one afternoon and was throwing out a large amount of lightning. So, I grabbed my camera and headed outside. Standing under the carport, I was able to stay dry and get the shots. I shot in jpeg instead of RAW to get as many shots as I could fire off in a short period of time. I basically pointed the camera in the direction that had the most lightning and pushed down on the shutter and kept firing until I would catch a bolt. I fired off several hundred shots and got several keepers that day.

This was the full spectrum camera. The green is only the result of bad manual white balance for the neutral density filter I tried.
