Dramatic summer night in London
Five strikes on the skyline within a ninety second period. Many more going of all around. Not quite willing to head to the top of the hill with a fisheye lens to try and catch them all ;-)

Late last night, perhaps around 11p, a small line of severe warned cells started moving into the Whitemarsh, PA area moving WNW towards NJ. Having struck out earlier, I made my way to a small park on the water in Florence, NJ, saw some lightning, took some pictures and then started heading home.
Having to stop for gas, I stopped off outside Bristol, PA and while I was filling my tank, a huge bolt dropped out of the sky to the East. Checking radar, there was a small cell starting to take shape that had been forming around Deptford, NJ but was beginning to take off south of Medford.
I didn't want to travel too far (I still had to work today) but found a place right on the water in Bristol, PA and was able to shoot right across the river, over Burlington, directly at this cell that at this point was moving more away from me than to one side or the other, so a pretty nice line-up. This cell threw out some pretty decent bolts and I'm glad I went out.

An extremely electric severe thunderstorm over northern Cumberland and southern extent of Coles County provided some intense lightning for a long period!

Taking a short break from the Pennsylvania photos, for this....
I had this in my head all day, I'm not sure why. I had Eleanor Rigby, by the Beatles stuck in my head, and I just saw this happen in my brain.
You can see that my hair is weird light brown/dark strawberry blonde-ish. It looks different in the photo because of the editing and color balance changes and such, but you get the idea.
I needed a 'blindfold' to make this one as I saw it in my mind, and went with elle's necktie plan. (This is a tie I bought for a Halloween costume a few years ago.)
I think that people will either hate this photo and think it's 'weird', or love it like I do.
The lightning was pretty intense so I thought I'd try to get a photograph. This is the first time I've attempted to photograph lightning. The raw energy and clarity of the bolt are awesome. I'm hooked....
Diablo Rojo Tattoo Parlor on Guadlupe. I got some other shots of this building but I think that we are going to go back again to try for some better angles.
Last night we just barely missed getting hit by a thunderstorm. On my drive home, the lightning was everywhere.....so I ran home, got my camera gear and went out shooting. By the time I got out there, most of the storm had blown past to the east of us, but I was still able to get a couple shots. I was pretty happy with this one. Taken just on the outskirts of Chambersburg, PA.
