On the night of July 15-16, a line of thunderstorms moved rapidly southward from central through southern Wisconsin. They were notable for their near-constant lightning activity. It looked like paparazzi flashbulbs at a red carpet event were going off in the clouds!
I didn't have much luck trying to capture the actual channels, this is one of the few shots that even caught a little bit of one.
Early Sunday morning we awoke around 3am to a rather violent storm. Shortly thereafter came a huge, resounding boom, accompanied by total white out. Lightning had struck one of the maples in front of our house.
There were heavy Thunder and Lightning storms around Pakenham on Christmas Eve, so I thought I'd try to capture some of the action. This was my best result, looking at the house across the road with a 30 second exposure.
When my youngest was due we prepared the nursery with paintings that were bright and bold to help a baby's developing eyesight and interesting so that he would learn as he grew.
Every member of the family got involved - we all painted something, from Grandparents to Aunts, to siblings :-)
