lightbox pencils, had loads of fun with the pencil shots, who'd have thought little sticks of coloured wood would be so much fun lol

This is a useful thing. I found it last week. You can stick your memory cards in it and push the "copy" button. It copies all files to the hard disk (40 GB). Nice, if you're on vacation or don't have your computer to download the pictures. Connects via USB 2.0. Price was EUR 99,-, which is fair.

I opened it and it has a seagate 2.5'' hdd.

My lightbox set up. I shot this using my Canon S3.

more lightbox. Ill reshoot some of these in natural light. there are 3 things i have noted.

1. lightboxes are useless unless you buy an expensive one, the light is uneven and bad

2. i need a macro lens

3. Backdrops are the key, im better working outside in the open at this

thoughts welcome

Another morning's volunteering at the Lightbox.

My lightbox that I made, it's pretty ghetto but I think i'm going to re-make it sometime as I used a pretty bashed up box!

Strobist Info: This was taken in my homemade light box with my D300. The box is made from foam board taped together, open on the top and one side. Over the top is a white sheet. The main light source is my new SB-600 with diffuser on it. The light box is on my dresser in my room and I placed the SB-600 on the floor about 5 feet in front of the box with the flash pointed toward the sheet that covers the top side of the box. I stood slightly behind the SB-600. The flash on the D300 had a diffuser on as well and was dialed down to -3.0 while the SB-600 flash was dialed up to +2.0. Edited with GIMP.

This is my first serious group of "strobist" images so comments/critiques definitely welcome! See my photostream for all 8 images in this group.
