This was the last glimpse back over the landscape hiked on the last Saturday, on the ancient Valeriana road that runs alongside Lake Iseo and up to the mountains, and to be completed in several stages.
Cold, sun then clouds, and many beauty.
Freddo, sole poi nuvole, e tanta bellezza.

Io lo immagino così, sperando che del collegio giudicante non faccia parte qualche stupido admin di Flickr.
On Doomsday
I imagine it this way, hoping that some of the stupid Flickr admins won't be part of the judging committee.

I've been watching some tutorials by Harold Davis this weekend - trying to get my head around his techniques for lightbox floral photography. I have a long way to go, lol!
Thank you in advance for your views, comments, and faves. They are much appreciated!
Playing with my food again on the lightbox. Shining light through the slices really shows it off in a different way. Are you looking at things differently? It makes life a little more intersting.

Amazing what beautiful abstract art nature can create! Colourful water reflections take on a life of their own when the wind blows and the sun shines.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for dropping by.
This is a true reflection done in the light box. As you can see I have lots to learn but I will work to perfect it

This is Moa'ula Falls on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i. I can see around 11 in the scene, but I'd guess that there are a few more that can't be seen because they're behind trees or hidden in a valley. To give you some perspective, the waterfall on the bottom left is approximately 250 feet in height. These waterfalls continuously flow due to the consistent rainfall that the island experiences.

I was stunned by how strongly the clouds projected shadows last night! Once they started I found myself frantically looking for a shot and found this verdant field near Waverly, CO.
Edit: Let this be a lesson for me to not post in a rush. It turns out I had a typo for my own last name in the watermark in addition to an incorrect title <<>>... all fixed now hah! The original image has been replaced with a corrected version, & we now return to our regularly scheduled programming. ;-)))

I've been away for much of the summer, leading workshops, playing in music festivals, and a trip to England in between. I met some really great clients this season, and made some great new friends. Just really great people all around. Both Zack Schnepf and I were leading workshops in the Palouse last spring, and we had the extreme pleasure of watching this fog roll in. Shortly after this shot, the entire Palouse was shrouded in fog. Quite a site to witness, and I'm pretty sure that was a once in a lifetime experience. Zack posted a really sweet shot a while back, and here is my rendition. Comments are very welcome as usual. Hope you all had/are having a great summer. Chip
Due to more strict enforcement of their rules, Flickr has asked me and many others to take down info such as links to personal websites and workshop information. However, it is still allowed to have such information in one's Flickr Profile.

Early morning traffic flows across the Bay Bridge from the east bay to San Francisco. The period of time before sunrise when the light gets a deep, rich, blue is best for color as it mixes with the warm artificial lighting and a layer of fog.

Sealed air wrap over a fabric covered book, with some lovely white flash highlight patterns from the actual shape of he bubble wrap. Probably a bit busy, but the pick of my photos for this round as you have no idea what it is upon first glance.
