IMAGING — Researcher Eric DeBoer taking images of greening up putting greens using a specially constructed lightbox. (U of A System Division of Agriculture image)

lightbox pencils, had loads of fun with the pencil shots, who'd have thought little sticks of coloured wood would be so much fun lol

My first photography, shot in the homemade lightbox.

Place tissue paper over the side frames to form side diffusers.

First prototype.

Built with our friends at Dynamic Factory

This is a useful thing. I found it last week. You can stick your memory cards in it and push the "copy" button. It copies all files to the hard disk (40 GB). Nice, if you're on vacation or don't have your computer to download the pictures. Connects via USB 2.0. Price was EUR 99,-, which is fair.

I opened it and it has a seagate 2.5'' hdd.

c Renee Silverman 2009 - Just finished making my first lightbox thanks to Strobist for the DIY instructions. It took hundreds of pictures for me to figure out the right exposure and what power to set the flash units. It can only get better from here.

My lightbox set up. I shot this using my Canon S3.

Another morning's volunteering at the Lightbox.

My lightbox that I made, it's pretty ghetto but I think i'm going to re-make it sometime as I used a pretty bashed up box!

Camera: Pentax Optio 430RS; this is my first test of a lightbox, made from a Dell box and tissuepaper. The camera's white-balance is way off (or over-compensating)
