Unna, Deutschland

Die Sammlung des Zentrums für Internationale Lichtkunst Unna in der ehemaligen Lindenbrauerei besitzt Modellcharakter. Weithin sichtbar durch den 52 Meter in den Himmel ragenden Schornstein, bietet sich dieser zeitgenössischen Kunstform seit 2001 tief unter der Erde eine Fläche von insgesamt 2.600 Quadratmetern. Seinen einzigartigen Charakter erhält das Museum durch die Konzentration auf den installativen Aspekt der Lichtkunst. Jede der Lichtinstallationen wurde eigens für die Räume vor Ort geschaffen und ist in ihrem ästhetischen wie technischen Auftritt individuell auf diesen Ort zugeschnitten.

I had a superb night tonight at Stockport Photographic Society.

Fingers crossed there will be a few converts to the dark side of lp.

Watching people waft around net curtains in a church doorway was a superb sight to behold.

I came home still on a bit of a high from it all so cracked the camera out and had a faff.

Beauty dish above, snooted flash gelled blue below. Aperture and focus change for the 8 way blade rotation.

Happy days.

My first shot from last night with Chris T. Not quite as polished as the image in my head but not a bad first go.

Zoom pulled and Triple axis camera rotation of the blue el wire. Tripod swap and lit me and the wall with Chris's Godox flash.

Day 1 of an awesome light painting mini break, camping in Llanberis.

Phill F and I arrived first and this one was from the first night in a local slate quarry.

Zoom pulled the tunnel then walked down and span an orb using the awesome Denis Smith Ball of Light Tool. Nothing too taxing or technical just enjoying being out in the dark.

Minimal pp in lightroom to boost shadows and add clarity.

I'm absolutely exhausted now from hiking all day and night with a bag full of gear but I've had such an epic time in great company and some cracking weather.

I did a few rotations using my tripod set up in a different way this evening.

I started off doing macro to wide angle lens swaps and took a few extras before taking down all the gear. This is one of the throw-aways which I ended up liking the most.

Light Art Photography, no layers, no composing, no tricks, only moving the camera in one single exposure.
