In an interior park just past the TESLA stained glass, there are light posts, including these two, of what seem to be representative of the electronic exploration by Tesla electronics. I could find no information specific to these lights; see the information on Tesla in the adjacent picture.

Per The Washington Post July 23, 2021:
The Capitol Hill Alphabet Animals are 20 public sculptures scattered throughout Capitol Hill and surrounding neighborhoods, mounted on lights and street signs.
The project was the brainchild of Stephen Young, a Capitol Hill resident who taught his daughters the alphabet by reading street signs: 'This is D Street. D is for Dog.'
Young approached the nonprofit Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) with an idea for mnemonic animal signs. CHAW then selected 20 artists to make 10 animals come to life, with only a couple of restrictions: the sculptures had to weigh seven pounds or less and had to be able to withstand the elements.
The first animals were installed on 2014.
Five years later, CHAW received a grant from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities to create 10 more animals, which were installed by late summer 2020..
One observer notes that what makes the series of 20 animals compelling is the scavenger hunt-like nature of the setting out to find them, and discovering parks and architecture along the way.
Per Evan Reed in the Post's July 23, 2021 article, I chose to make the penguin because it is a rather peculiar-looking bird and at least in my opinion, inherently whimsical. I think also that a bird perched on a street sign or light post just seemed like the direction to go.
On the choice of making the emperor penguin instead of another variety, I think the Emperor just has the quintessential 'penguiness' about it.
Maybe I was also influenced by the documentary film 'March of the Penguins'. There's an anthropomorphic quality to them that seems natural at a street intersection. Besides, residents of that neighborhood deserve the 'emperor' of penguins instead of just a prince or duke.

The Waterlilies at Longwood Gardens are of such spectacular variety, and given the passion and care administered to each and every one, it is a photographer’s dream to have the array of beautiful subjects to shoot, of both day and night flowering variety. The pools of water, where these magnificent flowers are presented, have been darkened, so when the visitors and photographers view them, the contrast created is simply wonderful. And the durable pads are unbelievable in their vast array of shapes, textures, and sizes . . . Not to mention, the beauty. The black water prevents algae build up, and also minimizes the visibility of the mechanical operations beneath the surface—pipes, light posts, attachments, etc. When the Victoria Waterlilies are at their peak, they are simply incomparable in glorious nature and size.
Chicago, IL August 30, 1968: A demonstrator hangs onto a light post and speaks with young Illinois National Guardsmen in front of the Conrad Hilton hotel early Friday morning. The hotel area was the site of hundreds of injuries on Wednesday night as Chicago police and the guardsmen clashed with demonstrators under the full light and cameras of the press.

This was taken January this year and it stands out to me because sometimes life will inspire you and if you're lucky it will make you smile in some of the most unexpected ways. This photo was taken on day 3 of a daily photo challenge between myself and one of my friends; my friend was constantly getting amazing photos because they lived in the city and I lived in a developing residential suburban area. This night I was going to give up because I felt like it was impossible to keep up on a daily basis. I decided I would give it one last try and do some night photography while I was in motion (something I don't recommend); the first photo I took was one of a Sunoco gas station which gave me the idea to take some in an area that was primarily lit by traffic signals and old fashioned light posts. This is one of many photos I caught in a series that made me smile and gave me the bright idea to keep doing what I was doing because when it's my time to capture those vivid moments I will be there with my camera ready.
