This fella didn't seem to mind me very much as most hawks do. Usually, they'll fly away at first movement. I was able to circle around him and get about 45 feet away and he never moved, only giving me an occasional glance.
For a bird newbie like me, the highly polymorphic Red-tailed Hawk can throw me off. I believe this is an adult light-morph Harlan's classification. Please comment if you know differently! Matt? :)
This is the actual color that the camera captured. It was not adjusted in photoshop for this effect. However, I added a vinyetting because the gray sky was too boring. I like the tone of this photo, and I'm happy with the way it came out.

I was out for a walk in a light industrial area and this Hawk was perched on a light post. Mississauga Ontario Canada
These banners hung last year on the light posts on Massachusetts Street in Downtown Lawrence. I am getting excited about my once a year trip to "The Phog" to see my Jayhawks play a basketball game, which will be this Saturday. "The Phog" refers to historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Kansas. When I'm at the game on Saturday night, I will try to get a photo of "The Phog" banner that hangs in the Fieldhouse.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple in Oak Park, IL. I found the outside rather bleak, but I liked the fact that most of the worshipers look down on the pulpit, it had a very (imperial senate chamber in the new Star Wars movies feel to it only smaller).
This is my letter "I" for my A-Z Assignment.

A lamp post at the Palm Springs Amtrak station.
This was a very difficult shot to get at night, shooting straight up into a light. It took a bit of post processing but I think I pulled it off OK. ...But that's what this assignment is about, trying new stuff and learning from it.
