I'm working too late...

Light Dances (Fire bugs group)

Whenever I turn on this little lamp, which mind you, has been totally ruined by Lionel eating it (lucky it's only a cheap crappy one from Ikea!), he warms himself up from the light, and I thought it was about time I got a photo of him doing this!

Snow at night, or as I like to call it, "snow lightning"

Experiments with Light Painting from home.

SUNDERLAND AFC unveiled a memorial to commemorate its players who were killed in action during the First and Second World Wars.

The memorial, which is located outside the Stadium of Light’s West Stand, honours the seven former Black Cats killed in the First World War – Alexander Barrie, James Chalmers, Jack Huggins, Sandy McAllister, Albert Milton, Leigh Richmond Roose and Thomas Rowlandson – along with Percy Saunders, who was killed in action during the Second World War.

An artwork at the Amsterdan Light Festival.

Have been trying to remember to post music with my uploads. Visual art and music are always closely linked in my life, and even if the music doesn't have anything to do with a particular image, I may post just whatever I happen to be listening to on my computer when I upload.

Where there is light there is darkness.

You dont get to see Moon like this often

Right I needed a light tent, but didn't have a cardboard box at hand, so this worked rather well. Its a clothes rail, with some t-shirts on there.

I think next time I will cover the LEDs slightly with paper to prevent the overexposure in the centre where it faced the lens dead on.

Seedlings in a pot. Some day they will be flowers... and I believe these plants will still lean towards the sun.

I always wanted to try this Light Painting stuff so here it goes one of my test. What better book to illustrate it?

NO PHOTOSHOP HERE!!!

Canon 580Ex with Black Straws Snoot to the left pointing a little down to the book (105mm,1/128). Camera ISO 100, Tv 200, Av 22. The flames are made with a small MagLite flashlight covered with my thumb and index fingers to give it a reddish tone, then moving along the book to create the effect.

A ball point pen that also has a light in the tip. Very useful if you need to write something in the dark. I might add that I did not buy this - it was a Christmas present!

cf14 Week 5: Pen. 3

Here are the guts that go behind the "light art" frame. Just a few color-changing LEDs (a series of 3 parallel pairs) hooked up to 9VDC. Simple, no? More info here:

In soft colors and very light, they can easily be folded and carried everywhere...

The Light Cinema, Stockport. Designed by BDP Architects and opened in November 2017, The Light contains 10 screens with a total capacity of just over 800 seats. The Redrock development containing the cinemas cost £45million and in August 2018 was announced as one of the five contenders for the Carbuncle Cup - an annual architectural prize for the ugliest building erected in the previous year.

My first try at light painting, it was a fun experience and I enjoyed exploring the possibilities.

My first test at playing with "painting". Really enjoyed it and decided to try make it a wallpaper type one :)
