You better hope you are almost back to the car when twilight hits Colorado's winter trails. The golden hour? It should be called the golden minute here. I wait and wait for the light to be right, then I snap and run.
This photo was taken in Chesterfield next to "the twisted church " where something was organised with live music and BBQ. The smoke coming out of the BBQ created a nice effect on the light going through the foliage. It was not as strong as on the photo ; it was more like : you see it, you don't see it. As the exposure was crucial for the photo, I decided to go for an HDR and took 3 photos exposed at -2, 0, + 2 ev. Voila.

Voila.

The high-Victorian font illuminated through the stained glass windows at Highnam Church, Gloucestershire. There was something in the quality of the light and the composition of this one that appealed to me. I guess I am just a whore for Gothic.
This is what keeps me going and it grew very faint today.
What's showing of what's on the page is intentional, this is what I'm working on.

A very modern design of stucture atop Moiwayama Observation Deck. Looks like a time machine that travels back and forth the time stream.

There's just something so promising about a bunch of buds just busting out, ready to bloom all at once.. These Lily of the Nile only bloom once a year, but like all things worthy - it's worth the wait.
The only unfortunate thing is that they open unannounced, and if you aren't paying attention, you could miss it. Kinda like those perfect summer mornings when you could be inside watching TV or cruising your phone - or you could be outside enjoying the brief, cool morning in early summer..
No one is going to tell you to go outside and enjoy the day, except the memory of your mother telling you, just as she did a thousand times. And no one loves you like your mother, so you really should listen..

Each year on the Thursday before the race, the trucks are escorted through city streets by police escort on a route that leads to the speedway. Fans gather along the streets and the trucks honk their air horns for cheers and waves from both fans and drivers.
