My first experiment in painting with light (well, I had to do something to celebrate getting the tax return finished.)

 

Painted with an LED torch (gives a nice white light) over a 30 second exposure.

The twigs and buds belong to a Honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea) growing under our window.

I shot this, not expecting much. I just wanted to see how the film (and my lens) did in low light. I should have gotten the tripod as I couldn't hand hold the camera at anything less than f/2.8.

 

I'm impressed with the detail and relatively low noise in such a dark and contrasty scene. What do you think?
