It's been sunshine and heavy showers here today. Managed to catch the sun making a brief appearance before having to dash in again.

Just had some fun to try out new nightshots ;) ...best view on black...

Pour la petite explication :

Foule (bas de la photo) surmontée d'une lumière rouge (fond de salle). Fin de soirée, appareil = LOMO LCA. Prise sur le vif, juste pour le fun :-)

I´m so pissed. I spend four hours scanning, trying to rescue

some hoplessly dark negatives, last night.

I knew it was to dark already when I shot it, but what could I do?

That old farmhouse with sad windows speaking to me when we were

passing in the car. I JUMP out dragging the Yashica, shooting.

Thinking I´v got 400 in....maybe it will do, maybe if I´m fast while this

dying light takes its last few breathes.

But it was to late.

And I don´t have a car,

(or even a driverslicense) so problably

this useless dark negatives is the last I´ll

ever see of that house.

But It was talking to me...

Damned!

This is a light painting I did of my son, who is learning photography. Today's lesson was long exposure:)

A fun filled night at our Camera Club experimenting with light painting.

Nice to try something different

Altadena, CA - In 1920 Altadena resident and Pasadena businessman Frederick C. Nash came up with an idea of lighting the trees for the holidays. He sought assistance from his organization The Pasadena Kiwanis Club and from the City of Pasadena to initially light a 1/4 mile section of the roadway. Over the next few years the lighting expanded until the entire row of trees, 150 in all, were lighted. It is estimated that annually more than 50,000 automobiles travel the avenue during the weeks of the lighting.

It was quite unexpected to see so many people present to see the lights, even a marching band joined in. What you don't see is that each of these trees has a transformer permanently mounted on them - they take this 'lighting of the avenue' quite seriously! The draw of electric lights never seems to get old.

Spring-beauties captured in a brief ray of sunlight. That's why I love photography, you can freeze moments such as these. Have a beautiful Sunday Flickr friends!!

Taken in Newcastle Emlyn. This is about light and what is a rather inchoate response to the Cohen song.

I had so much time bathing with Ducky. We were messing around for half an hour before we cleaned ourselves up from the soap. We then went our separate ways because Ducky had to do his chores around the house. So, I went out of the bathroom, and then suddenly the lights went out. I am now in total darkness and I can't see nothing. All I can hear is the sound of crickets. Wait a minute, I see light from somewhere. What is this? I feel warm standing next to it.

"My dear friend, what do you intend to do? What, if not to believe God's counsels, to believe Truth who cannot deceive? This is his counsel to you: "Come to me, you who are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you.""

Today, 6 October, is the feast of St Bruno, founder of the Carthusians, and this photo was taken in the church of Sta Maria degli Angeli which was once a Carthusian church in the centre of Rome, built into the former Baths of Diocletian.

Sometimes a warrior has to follow his light...

This is what my home looks like around 7:00PM. Isn't the light so wonderful? Our last apartment, before we rented this house, was like a dungeon. I thouroughly enjoy the sunshine here!

I had a specific shot planned for 365 that I still might try and do. But who knows? Maybe I'll save it for tomorrow. Either way, I wanted to share this with you.

I originally shot a silhouette on this shot, but then I decided to see how well I could properly expose the image, with that strong backlight. I'll post some silhouettes in the comments (I might open the second to the public later), but this is more what it really looks like.

Anyway, HAPPY SATURDAY!

Greenwich Foot Tunnel gets 4 and 1/2 out of 5 on Trip Advisor which might be a sad indictment of things to amuse you whilst in London, whilst poor old Tate Briton got 4 out of 5. Turner would be disappointed he lost to a musty old tunnel.
