Dolomites
Almost the same composition as the previous one. But this was taken few minutes before, when the light illuminated all the mountains. You see that in this one the rocks are not red but orange and yellow. I didn't modify the colors here. The Dolomites are different during different hours. Wonderful, don't you think?
Notes. Tripod | mirror lock-up | remote shutter release | ND grad filter (0.9 soft).

I've just discovered the power of ISO 3200!
I am beginning to experiment w/ low light. A bit grainy, but sure beats missing the shot all together! Maybe it's time to invest in Noise Ninja...
[Editor:] This was shot in complete darkness except for the rope light itself.
Is it a wave? Is it a particle? How come it travels so fast (3.0×10⁸ m/s)? Light is so damn cool, and there are so many equations and concepts I could go into, but I'd be here for days.
Minus the crop, this is straight out of the camera.
For Abe: Shmobist: Single light bulb, directly between wall and subject. Fast shutter speed to allow for minimal light and maximum shadow/silhouette .
A study in light with my new 10 stop. Man that thing is fun I somehow lost 5 hours yesterday - was in big trouble when I got back!
Light writing. I'll probably do this again sometime...I'm just not too pleased overall. Nevertheless, I think it's cool. ;D
Anyone else love the ghosting arm? Haha
Seit Tagen keine Sonne, kein rechtes Tageslicht, Nieselregen, alles grau...schön ist das nicht! Die Leuchtschrift über dem Eingang zum Museum für Lichtkunst kam gerade recht für einen Schnappschuss ;-)

Vellum paper. Cardstock and battery tea light. Stick card stock at top and bottom of a square of paper. As tall as you want but wide enough to wrap around base of tealight.
Wrap stick and you're done!
