Here's another shot from my only decent morning of shooting on TDH Mountain, out of 15 or so attempts. It was actually great to finally get something halfway decent after spending an incredibly cold and windy night in my tent just 50ft away.
I wanted to throw this one up to see which you prefer, this one, or the original in the link www.flickr.com/photos/ryandyar/4482287270/sizes/o/
They are pretty similar, with just slight compositional differences and minor processing changes. I was also able to fix more of the wind blurred trees in this new one.
Would love to hear your opinions either way. Thanks everyone!

A quick snap up the road, before being picked up to go to camera club.
We had a great talk from touching-the-light, "Coast 17" .... thank you Ken :) I just know I wouldn't have survived the Sussex coast, so am full of admiration for all those miles you covered.
Strong shadows, golden light and textures galore. I waited around for someone to enter this scene, but once they did I decided I actually preferred this photo as an urban landscape. This is the architecture on the outside of the Ben Youssef Mosque in Marrakesh.

BBMaui, Cappadocia, Turkey. These ruins are some of the earliest churches anywhere in the world. Asia Minor has many churches and dwellings from the times when the Christians were hiding from the Romans. These beautiful stone arches and walls are all self supporting. There is no concrete, iron or wood. Only the weight and the placement of the stones support the structure. Many of these building techniques were invented in this part of the world. The entire roof of this room is a collection of self supporting arches, and every room in the building has an independent self supporting roof.
It is amazing that these "primitive" buildings have survived for 2000 years at an earthquake zone.
This is another shot from the Enchanted Forest of Light at Descanco Gardens. Hundreds of variable-color LED tulips had been installed in this portion of the gardens. The entire plot was programmed to produce light shows with sweeping waves of color migrating across the "flowers."
The Darwin Hybrids are known for their vibrant colours, but Tulip Light and Dreamy adds an airy touch to the range with its very unusual combination of pink and lavender with a soft touch of near-blue. Your garden will be absolutely dreamy this spring when the long-lasting blooms begin to show their romantic colours.
Trying out some light spheres under the milky way and they are tougher than they seem. I first tried the light on the end of a string and spun it in circles. Turns out it's hard to change the direction of the spin once it's rotating with that method.
Then I got a 5 foot pole and attached 2 lights to the ends of that and spun that around. That's much easier to make a circle but it's hard to keep the center from moving so the ball ends up looking like this, uneven and sporadic.
I'm gonna try attaching this 5 ft pole to another pole that rests on the ground, that way i keep the center in the same place.
Any idea's or methods you all have to get the perfect ball of light are welcome!
