ANTICUARIO-PINTURA-INTERIORES-TIENDAS-MANRESA-DOBLE LIENZO-PINTANDO-ESTUDIOS-ARTISTA-PINTOR-ERNEST DESCALS-
Experimentando con dos lienzos pegados que forman uno de de gran formato, me encuentro en fase revisión de mi pintura y he empezado a borrar algunos de los cuadros de tiempos anteriores, el espacio en mi estudio está demasiado lleno de obras amontonadas por la casi inexistente venta actual, es el momento propicio de volver a utilizar estas telas para crear nuevas pinturas. Todos los pintores tenemos nuestros estudios abarrotados de cuadros que antes se hubieran vendido y ahora pemanecen entre el silencio del desaparecido público, a pequeños problemas grandes soluciones, es algo que nunca había hecho pero ahora se abre una nueva ventana para experimentar. El tamaño de la pintura es de gran formato, 81 x 130 centímetros, y me posibilita introducir una escena de una tienda de un anticuario con muchos objetos diseminados y almacenados bajo la potente luz de una lámpara casi central, su resplandor es intimista y llega a todos los elementos con amor y calidez, algunos espejos se manifiestan con los reflejos luminosos. Pinturas del artista pintor Ernest Descals en los momentos de creación plástica. Los interiores de las tiendas me apasionan, son mundos en sí mismos.

Fu acquistato alla XIV Biennale di Venezia nel 1924 per 2.550 Lire. Potrebbe essere stato utilizzato nella "Resurrezione" del 1924 (figura d'uomo a sinistra).
Nato a Stribach, presso Lienz, nel 1868, studia a Monaco, presso Raupp, Hackl e Lindenschmit. Dopo essersi fermato a Vienna e a Weimar, centro artistico di rilevanza internazionale, nel 1913 giunge in Alto Adige. Si ferma in Val Passiria, Val Sarentino e a Santa Giustina, dove dimora fino all'anno della sua morte, avvenuta nel 1926. Nel 1911 era nato a Monaco il movimento del "Blaue Reiter", i cui ideatori postulavano il rinnovamento del linguaggio artistico dell'epoca. Ma è anche il tempo di molti incisivi fermenti che sembrano sconvolgere il mondo della cultura alla vigilia del primo grande conflitto mondiale. Malgrado il fragore di questi movimenti culturali, Egger-Lienz non sembra interessato da nessuna delle correnti dell'epoca e si dedica piuttosto alla realizzazione di temi con immagini "di genere", ovvero allo studio di soggetti di carattere storico, seguendo, di preferenza, lo stile pittorico di Franz Defregger che continua, inossidato, a riscuotere successo fra i committenti locali. Più spigliato è l'Egger-Lienz della maturità, che oltre ad assumere il ruolo di interprete del mondo contadino, appare interessato ad una pittura di matrice concettuale, di sapore marcatamente espressionista.
Il pittore è tuttavia capace di esprimersi anche con toni di notevole dolcezza e di suadente poesia. Ne offre prova in un dipinto della Civica Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Palermo. Il suo titolo è "Maternità", realizzato ad olio su faesite (cm 50,5 x 48). Le figure sono sintetiche, essenziali, in un'armonia di luci ed ombre disegnate con efficacia da una rude lanterna posta in primo piano.
Muore a Zwolfmalgreinen, Bolzano, nel 1926.

The Egger-Lienz of maturity is more easy-going, who in addition to assuming the role of interpreter of the peasant world, appears interested in a painting of a conceptual matrix, with a markedly expressionist flavor.
However, the painter is capable of expressing himself also in tones of remarkable sweetness and persuasive poetry. It offers proof in a painting of the Civic Gallery of Modern Art in Palermo. Its title is "Maternità", made in oil on hardboard (50.5 x 48 cm). The figures are synthetic, essential, in a harmony of lights and shadows designed effectively by a rough lantern placed in the foreground.
He died in Zwolfmalgreinen, Bolzano, in 1926.

on the way back from our late summer holidays in Carinthian Alps we had a short stop at Lienz, with its nice mixture of alpine and north-italian style

Pintar en el estudio los retratos con la expresión de la mujer, cuadros de gran formato con pinturas al oleo sobre lienzos muy grandes, el rostro de la modelo llena toda la superfice logrando una gran impacto visual, arriesgar para lograr expresar la fuerza plástica de una cara femenina, estos enorme formatos son complejos y pocos artistas quieren jugar con ellos, el atrevimiento forma parte de la creación, expresiones de mujeres que cautivan la mirada del espectador. La mirada y el trato de las facciones nos muestra el carácter del ser humano pintado, amplias pinceladas que se van modulando con el trabajo entusiasta.
