Late Night Storm Chasing... not really, this was just a few blocks from my home. Though a week after my injury, it was effecting my health. Severe back and neck pain due to the infection spreading... I still challenged myself to get out. It was painful but as you see, I was more than successful. It was definitely worth my time to get out that late night. I needed to do so, my spirit need to be recharged.

Beautiful crystal blue lightning illuminated the night as the arcus (shelf cloud) approached from the due west. Got to my location and set up and went to town... Oh was this worth it!!!

This storm was severe warned and was moving almost west / west southeast from my pov. Just on the outskirts of Buffalo County, it was maturing & gaining strength. One can clearly see the base of this storm in this part, this set of captures. On radar this had rotation detected. I've seen this before, tons of wicked good forked CG lightning strikes extruding from the base of this storm. I thought I was going to see a night nader move right in front of my location. Instead she didn't drop anything, but you can sure witness the rotation in these captures....

Look at this showroom new Brass Canadian made 1910 Ford Model T Touring. Photographed in Grand Bend Ontario only a short distance from where it was built at the Ford plant in Walkerville, Ontario.

Proudly wearing license plate number 8757. This plate was the last year for leather license plates used from 1906 untill 1910. This plate is identified as a 1910 issue as it was the only year that had the white bar sewed part way on centre across the top with Ontario in block letters. The original Ontario license records show that an A. Keehn of Stratford Ontario was issued this plate number.

The clean white rubber tires and the lack of dirt even under the fenders would make you wonder was this its first touring adventure. The ladies are dressed for a sunny summer day on the shores of Lake Huron in Grand Bend a popular vacation spot.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Five metres at 11:21am on Wednesday 28th July 2021 at 81 Central Parade, in front of Waltrop Gardens, looking towards the remnants of one of the original piers at Herne Bay on the Thames Estuary, CT6 5JQ, England.

This is all that remains of the third pier at Herne Bay, with just the steamer passengers landing stage remaining after a storm January 11th 1978 which wrecked the 3,787ft (1,154m) wooden pier, designed by Wrighton & Co which originally opened in 1899.Further out we see the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm, completed in 2005 and located on a shallow plateau just outside the main Thames shipping lanes. You can also see a cluster of Maunsell sea forts built in 1942 and decommissioned in the 1950's.

I left at 9am for the One hour journey down with the possibility of sun, cloud and rain showers. At Herne Bay it was time for my usual stop at 'Makcari's Coffee Lounge & Ice Cream Parlour' for a slice of cherry and almond gateaux and a lovely latte coffee before a pleasant stroll on a mixed day. With rain off in the distance I headed back to the car, just getting inside before the heavens opened!

On the drive home torrential rain and wind made it impossible to see the road ahead at times, before clearing and sunny spells dominating. A typical British summer day, you might say!

On February 26, 1952 driver and first Dutch Grand Prix winner Eddie Hertzberger registered his Ferrari 212 Inter, bodied by Ghia, aluminium coupé on license plate PD-88-78, making it the first Ferrari sold in the Netherlands and the first Ferrari that won a race in the Netherlands. Bought at the time for 50.000 Dutch Guilders.

Hertzberger did not order the car with a regular Inter V12 engine, but with an Export engine with three double Weber carburettors.

Eddie Hertzberger not only drove the car in races, such as on the circuit in Zandvoort, but also used it as a daily driver on the road. His collection also included a Bentley Blower, an MG K3 and a Bugatti Type 57.

When Eddie's son Anthony Hertzberger was 4 years old, the beautiful 212 was sold to the US. Years of memories that his son Anthony had of this car and the desire to find it back, motivated Eddie to search it for many years. Toghether with a friend, Hertzberger searched for his beloved 212 with the chassis number 0225 EL, as the car played such a special role in Dutch Ferrari history. In March 2013 Anthony finally managed to return the car back to the hands of the Hertzberger family. Anthony bought this car back and restored it to its full glory.

The car has been restored to the highest level, without saving costs and/or any efforts and even the Dutch license plate of earlier times (PD-88-78) got back as a number plate on this special car.

Vintage image of a 1934 Diamond T Doodlebug Texaco Tanker Fuel Truck. One prototype was made and only six manufactured. The license plate reads 1935 Illinois. This found photograph is from the private collection of an unknown and/or unknowing art collector. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!

one of our favorite aspects of the island was the fact that no motor vehicles are allowed. therefore, the only modes of transportation are horse & buggy, foot or bike. which means there are bikes everywhere!

Jen and I brought our own bikes, but there were plenty available to rent as well. we really enjoyed exploring the island by riding our bikes through all the trails we could find.
