This not-Ferrari Ferrari was one of my favroite spots in Lugano. The Dino was a Ferrari sub-marque named after Enzo's son, Alfredo "Dino". They feature V6s instead of V8s which made them "less-Ferrariish" back then, but nowadays they are certainly one of the more beloved ones due to their looks. They look truly beautiful and they deserve the Ferrari name. This particular one had an amazing license plate, six sixes - and from Modena, above all.

Norway is peppered with fjords. Each and every one is unique. Just like Voldsfjord in Skien, Vallesverd is one of the fjords I've lived close to long enough to see as my own. They say it's full of beautiful trout, but all I've got here are mackerels. Nevertheless, this is a great escape when I need to clear my mind.

Loved spotting this G80, a car that's not available in Germany. I am still lucky enough to see one almost every saturday passing the South Korean embassy. I had to spot one in New York, still.

Pictured is a member of 1 EOD Regiment RLC, with Fire Service Rescue Crew and a CUTLASS Remote Controlled Vehicle at Didcot PowerStation.
RLC bomb disposal experts offered their support to the Fire & Rescue, Urban Search & Rescue and search dog teams from across numerous counties in the search for the missing persons trapped beneath the vast piles of twisted steel, pipes and concrete – the remains of the collapsed Didcot ‘Site A’ Power Station.
Operators from Northolt Troop, 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment arrived on site where they immediately deployed their Cutlass, state-of-the-art remote controlled vehicle, it’s more usually associated with pin pointing suspicious packages and explosive devices and destroying them however, in this case it was sent in to try and locate the missing inside the former turbine hall.
1 EOD Regiment RLC is the British Army's specialist unit responsible counter terrorist bomb disposal and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), the recovery and safe disposal of conventional munitions. They also inspect and licence ammunition storage and enforce explosives safety regulations.
The Regiment carries out its mission on all deployed and expeditionary operations worldwide and at home throughout Great Britain and on British Forces bases in Germany.

Spotted near Gallereya shopping mall, my first Kyrgyz plate of my stay! This one is my first plate from Jalal-Abad, in the Western part of the country, close to Uzbek border!

Made a trip out to San Francisco a few weekends ago. A lot of souvenir shops along Pier 39 had these license plates I found interesting. They reminded me of the Johnny Cash song "I've Been Everywhere."

The Isetta is an Italian-designed microcar built under license in a number of different countries, including the UK. Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became known as a bubble car, a name also given to other similar vehicles.
In 1957, Isetta of Great Britain began producing Isetta 300 models at their factory in the former Brighton railway works under licence from BMW. The bit I really like about this story is that this car factory had no access by road! All components were delivered by rail and finished cars were shipped out the same way.
As you can see above, the British cars had right-hand drive with the door hinged from the right-hand side of the car, with the steering column moved across to the right as well. Right-hand drive meant that both the driver and the engine were on the same side, so a 27 kg counterweight was added to the left side to compensate.
Dunlop tyres were used, and Lucas electrics replaced the German Hella and Bosch components, with a different headlamp housing being used. Girling brake components replaced the ATE brake parts.
The Isetta was not popular in the UK until a three-wheeled version was introduced. Although three-wheeled vehicles are more prone to rolling over, there was a financial advantage: they could evade automobile legislation and taxation by being classed as three-wheeled motorcycles, and could be driven with a motorcycle licence. In 1962, Isetta of Great Britain stopped production of the little cars but continued to produce the engines until 1964.
The three-wheel vehicle seen above was manufactured in 1961. It is an exhibit in the Science Museum in London.

The huge Tesla coils of the Sextant camp are being dismantled.
Sadly, they blew up a critical part of their electrical system during some testing on Monday, so the large Tesla coils were off the whole week.
For more info about the Sextant camp, go to the Sextant camp website.
