It's a nice looking case. More importantly for my girlfriend: it provides a place to attach a cell phone charm.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack visited Arkansas on Friday, September 16, 2022, to meet with producers and partners to discuss the new USDA Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities Project program designed to expand markets for America’s climate-smart commodities, leverage the greenhouse gas benefits of climate-smart commodity production, and provide direct, meaningful benefits to production agriculture, including for small and underserved producers.
The USDA is investing up to $2.8 billion into 70 selected projects for the first funding pool of the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities funding opportunity; 20 of those projects are expected to affect Arkansas.

I decided to leverage off my visit to the Arc Hotel and speak to another member of the photo shoot team.
Meet Katherine the Floral Designer at the event. She walked past me with an armful of flowers and said hello and promised she would be back to chat.
A native of Newport the third largest city in Wales U.K. Newport is located in South Wales, as kids we would vacation in North Wales as it was in reasonable driving distance from our home in Liverpool, fond memories indeed.
Katherine actually followed her parents to Canada, as she was reluctant to move to the Great White North, that, as they say is water under the bridge now. She has made a life here in Ottawa with her husband and nine month old baby.
Always an artistic individual but pragmatic nonetheless, she loved Arts & Crafts but decided that her career choices may be limited, so she graduated from Ottawa's Carleton University with a degree in Biology.
A career in Commercial Real Estate didn't pan out. Meanwhile Katherine took a part-time position at Bloomfield's Florist in Ottawa's Glebe neighbourhood and her creative juices started to flow.
About a year ago she started her own Floral Studio - Pollen Nation
She runs her business out of her studio rather than a traditional retail storefront, this helps with operating costs but also invokes a much more creative environment for her and her clients. The emphasis is on Weddings, Celebratory Events and Corporate Services, however if you need to make things up with your significant other, Katherine can help you out.
She will also come to your home to provide a private workshop to teach you how to create the perfect floral masterpiece. This is a great idea for a social gathering with your friends.
Katherine has a wonderful outgoing personality, perfect for the floral business, she makes full use of Social Media to promote her business. Pollen Nation has worked with a number of high profile corporate clients including, Starbucks, Lululemon, Lux Event Rentals etc. they also do photo shoots such as todays' event to further her creative spirit.
Thank you Katherine it was wonderful to make your acquaintance, I wish you all the very best for the future.
NOTE: I had emailed the photographs to Katherine, she was extremely gracious in her response. Thank you for that Katherine.

These things just keep on going, and going and going. Over 50 years old and we can still use it. It's a 1000hp diesel electric switcher and this is the view inside the cab. Lots of control pedestals with levers of brass and iron.
Interestingly, this locomotive seldom has its human operator in the cab -- it's radio controlled and it's one I was helping to get running after it developed radio issues.
Taken with a Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens on a Nikon D200 digital body.

In the spirit of Ocean’s 11, Leverage is about the con. Each episode is a different job. Unlike Ocean’s 11, each mark is targeted because they used their position & power to victimize people. So there’s a Robin Hood-like theme to the premise.
In a nutshell, Nate Ford assembled a group of con artists & thieves who are the best at what they do. Sophie is a grifter who uses her acting skills to “get inside”; Eliot is the kick ass demolitions & combat guy; Alec is wicked w/ his computer hacking skills; and Parker is the quirky thief. Parker by far is my favorite character, her anit-socialness makes for some of the most hilarious interactions between her and the other characters.
Leverage is one of the best shows on TV right now. It has a great sense of humor, intelligently constructed cons each episode, great drama, spontaneous badass action, and well rounded characters (Nate is a recovering alcoholic who lives above a bar, for example). Though off the air until winter/spring, I highly recommend getting your hands on the DVDs so you can get caught up before the new season starts. You won’t regret it.
