Eurema hecabe (Common Grass Yellow ) is a small pierid butterfly species found in Asia or Africa..They are found flying close to the ground and are found in open grass and scrub habitats. It is simply known as "the grass yellow" in parts of its range; the general term otherwise refers to the entire genus Eurema.

The 7th Annual Mike Pero Southern Classic motorcycle racing was again held at Levels Raceway near Timaru in the South Island of New Zealand. Run by the CAMS Racing Club the club did an excellent job with the very full programme of events. As the photos show the weather was sunny and hot, then overcast, then hot again on the Saturday. This was in sharp contrast to the Friday when qualifying had to be cancelled in the afternoon when heavy rain set in. This event and the Burt Munro Challenge are the two premium events in the South Island and both are worth a visit to enjoy the sights and sounds. My photos focus on the earlier bikes present. If you want full size copies of the photos without the watermark let me know. They are available for private use at no cost. I normally take the time to name the photos to give the year and model of bike. If you need to know details either select the photo as a favourite or leave a comment and i will add the information. Enjoy the photos.
