Last week we had arctic temperatures and blizzard-like drifting. Lots of plans were canceled and a lot of time was spent on snow removal. Today a lot of it has melted away. There's something like a 60 or 70°F temperature difference between today and this time last week. Ah Wisconsin! (12-29-22)

So Brendan and I went exploring today.
We ended up at the Docklands where he wanted to get some shots for his marine set. I took a roll of film, so I shall get that developed soon.
I had fun :) it's always good to hang out with someone who understands when you want to stop randomly to take photos as I often do.

My summer goal was to get Max Helyer from You Me At Six to be my best friend. I printed out the photos I took from that Warped Tour date and sent this photo to a friend to give to him and he signed it. I scanned it and here it is.

A first attempt at insect macro using the MP-E65. Not much bugs around yet, and lots of things to improve!

Chelsea Oostman
Putting her compassion to work
Chelsea Oostman knew she wanted to find a way to help people through her senior capstone project for her bachelor's in speech and hearing sciences. On the recommendation of a friend, she found just that with about 200 other Portland State students this summer as a counselor at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp. But she got something else from the camp, too: perspective.
Chelsea says her experiences meeting and assisting campers with disabilities opened her eyes to people's unique differences and helped her develop new skills in patience, planning and communication that she will carry into her relationships and career.
At Portland State University, we believe knowledge works best when it serves the community.
