Just stretching sighs! So good to just stretch out and relax

This was shot at Owens Valley Radio Observatory near Big Pine that is operated by Cal Tech. The whole landscape with White Mountains in the background, a dish-antenna radio telescope in the foreground and dark skies gave it a mysterious and alien feeling. For a while, I thought a UFO would land in front of my eyes. Incredible.

Yesterday was Record Store Day & look what my best-friend surprised me with!! It's a 12" single of Let's Dance backed with the demo of the same song. I love it, of course!

Letting go has never been easy, but holding on can be as difficult. Yet strength is measured not by holding on, but by letting go.

LET us go then, you and I,

When the evening is spread out against the sky

Like a patient etherised upon a table;

Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,

The muttering retreats

Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels

And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells:

Streets that follow like a tedious argument

Of insidious intent

To lead you to an overwhelming question...

Oh, do not ask, ' What is it? '

Let us go and make our visit.

Taylor Mealey, yeah, he is one of my long time good friends I grew up with. Today, we got together for the first time in months and went down to Downtown Royal Oak for some coffee and to get some shots for his band, Let Hearts Decide. This whole day was such an adventure, getting a parking ticket wasn't the best part of the day but we did run into some old friends and some new people. It was a great time!

Taylor and I went back to the studio to check out some of the new songs that he's working on, and I did some guest vocals on one of the new tracks. So check out his stuff!

Oh the weather outside is frightful,

But the fire is so delightful,

And since we've no place to go,

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

The heavy snowfall here in Oxford last night. We are not accustomed to deep snow here, our cat did not know what to make of it as she disappeared beneath a drift, then came hastily back indoors.

This is an incredibly inviting and peaceful place for a death zone. It was only a handful of years back that an English tourist was killed by one of the many saltwater crocs in the area. It does look inviting for a swim though...

Put on your red shoes and dance the blues

Let's dance

To the song they're playin' on the radio

Let's sway

While color lights up your face

Let's sway

Sway through the crowd to an empty space

I personally think this is a very personal photo, the way his face is turning to the side, possibly hiding shame or content, even possibly a deep secret and now he is playing his guitar to help soothe the things that happened earlier that day.The elaborateness of the guitar stands out and really makes sets the stage for the rest of the photo, especially the shadow. Now the shadow is my favorite part, the way it covers the whole left corner wall of the picture and then at an angle comes and leads you right his face.
