Let me begin by apologizing for the poor quality of this image. I was young and poor, and it was shot with a bargain basement Asanuma "Neverfocus" lens. We are at Qunnimont, WV on a horribly humid August 19, 1975 and a westbound C&O manifest has pulled in to set off a cut of cars in the yard. The "yard dog" laying on the platform seems pretty much unimpressed by the entire operation. It has been my experience that most railroad yards have a dog, fed by donations from employees lunch pails. We had one on the RF&P at Acca Yard in Richmond. When "Old Blue" finally passed, he was buried on a hill by the yard office and a tombstone placed in his honor.

Well it's been one of those weeks at work where I've felt a little stressed, pressed and needing another 24 hours in each day. I stumbled on this photo from Trentham Gardens last night, reminding me of happy, relaxing times with family a couple of months ago. I reckon I could learn a bit from these dandelions...*bursts into songs from Frozen*!! Looking forward to time off over Easter and hopefully catching up with comments here too :)
