My first commercial shoot - sort of..... the client was extremely understanding when I started butchering some cardboard boxes to make a 'softbox a la strobist'!

 

Strobist info: 2x vivitar 285s 1/16 power into a $10 strobist softbox (even at the current exchange rate, £5 is still overpricing it - cheers David!!). 1 flash camera left, 1 above. Fired with ebay triggers

I was inspired by some ocean photos i saw last night on flickr.

I made a lentil bead with polymer clay with and immage transfer.

All silver elements are creations of mine.I use a Lapis Lazzuli cabochon bezeled in silver.Tomorrow i've to take another photo of it

Green lentil and split pea broth with turnip and barley. Served with garlic, rosemary and chilli foccacia. So good.

made this due to my low iron,need lots of beans because , I don't eat red meat.Love this recipe

no green puy lentils, a little too much tomato.... however still yummy.

Some lentils made with translucent and a drop of my brand new alcohol inks... the colours are, uh, vibrant. Thing-a-day 19.

This lentil soup turned out great. Just some brown lentils, cooked in veggie broth with a can of fire roasted tomatoes. I added chopped carrots, onions and red potatoes, a little canola oil, and some various other spices, like a little chili powder, garlic, curry, salt and pepper. A nice meal on a chilly day! The salad was just mixed organic greens, chopped onion, tomato & cucumber, with Annie's Goddess Dressing.

2.3.2008: puy lentils up close and intimate.

 

I love these lentils. I first came across this variety in France (though these are el-cheapo Canadian ones).

 

They are much tastier than the bland brown version I learnt to cook when I was a student, and when viewed close up like this, they're actually quite pretty. Well... in a way.

Lentil ömsom slickar linjen, ömsom pratar finskt nylonmode med Spin Doctor och får något att skylla på till åttan. Resten av bommarna kom per automatik när jag blev torr i munnen och fick tennisarm i högern av allt hårda spikande. (Som om det inte räckte med en skridskoarm till vänster.)

 

För övrigt gick det hemskt trögt att springa. Bådar dåligt inför säsongen...
