Hey. I love you. My name is Lentil and I am a lovely girl who loves everyone and everything. I'm a 13-week-old, female, grey tabby in search of a forever home. Got other people in your house? lentils with chorizo, carrots and blackpudding

Absolutely delicious lentil soup I made. Carrots, onions, tomatoes, spices.

I am trying to decide which shot of lentils should be submitted to Click (beans n lentils) for May. As always I am running late, but fortunately during my long weekend home, Mom made lentils. Cooked with onions, garlic, chives (sive), bandhania and probably a bit of browning and whatnot. Yummy eaten with rice and stewed chicken.

I garnished with some leaves of bandhania/chadon beni for green and because it's my favourite herb.

Chef Thierry Rautureau of Rover’s restaurant in Seattle bought these lentils as part of his effort to make a dinner for four on $11.44. He had plenty of lentils left over.

Tonight seemed like a great one for grabbing dinner out. We have this terrific hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean restaurant just down the street from us.

Friends in the know introduced us to Sam's Oasis after we moved here and we've been regulars ever since. Sam, the owner, is always there and he's the nicest guy. The decor is more on the diner side...laminated tables, utilitarian chairs and plenty of posters of his Jordanian homeland, along with middle eastern music that Devin was grooving to. And the food is just awesome.

Black Beluga Lentils sprouted. They are tiny. Look like caviar. Slightly sweet. Delicious. Raw. Sprinkled in soups and chilies. Very high in omega 3s.

Black Beluga Lentils Sprouted. It's relatively speedy, very tasty raw, very high in Omega 3s, (and extremely favorable omega 3 to 6 ratio) high in protein, vitamins and healthy enzymes. Power packed teeny morsels like Popeye with spinach.

My first commercial shoot - sort of..... the client was extremely understanding when I started butchering some cardboard boxes to make a 'softbox a la strobist'!

Strobist info: 2x vivitar 285s 1/16 power into a $10 strobist softbox (even at the current exchange rate, £5 is still overpricing it - cheers David!!). 1 flash camera left, 1 above. Fired with ebay triggers
