Outside a little shop in Lambertville NJ.

Shooting liquids with a flash seems easy at first, but it's quite tricky indeed.

For this shot, I put a remotely triggered flash under a white perspex panel, and another one on the right of the scene.

I'm not 100% happy with the result, but it's good enough for today shot.

Cupcakes for the beach ceremony for Catherine and Martins wedding. NZ themed cupcakes - koru and jandals on a lemon and lime cupcake (goes well with champagne) and a very zesty lemon-lime buttercream icing. Background is Koru image.

Quick scarf crocheted from handspun, from 4oz "lemonlime" batt from Crosspatch Creations.

I did the spinning during a Spindler's ravelry list challenge where the inspiration was stained glass, so I thought about Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie glass windows and how modern he made them look with the white, clear or translucent areas, and limited colour palette. This batt (http://www.flickr.com/photos/milele/3983751689/) was perfect.

I wanted to preserve the colour areas somewhat and limit optical blending so I decided not to ply. I spun the batt into thick singles, then crocheted in groups of three treble stitches, which kept several inches of the same colour together in a block. Since the crochet was right-handed, it relaxed the singles and softened the feel.

Cawy Bottling Company is a soda beverage company which was founded in Cuba in 1948 and nationalized after the Cuban Revolution when communists and socialists took over in 1959. Two of the company's executives emigrated to the U.S. and restarted the brand in 1962, first offering lemon-lime soda and then diversifying outside of that competitive market by offering Materva and then other tropical flavors.

I usually can't tell the difference between Sprite and 7-UP and I thought this tasted no different.

Crisp Meringue Caps for my Citrus Curd - Adapted heavily from the filling in Fifi O'Neill's "Lemon Sour Cream Pie", the curd is rich but tangy thanks to Greek yogurt and citrus juices. It reminds me of key lime pie filling, and a crispy meringue "hat" makes for a great contrast without need for a crust.

Wooo for Sierra Mist :D

I've seen quite a few pictures like this.

But I liked it. So I did it too :D

Sierra Mist is one of my faaavorites!

I DEFINITELY like it better over Sprite and Mountain Dew.

I don't drink soda often...

Probably a good thing.

Anyway. Fave if you like it!

1 of 4 new collectible Mountain Dew bottle designs featuring Nascar themes. So far I have seen them at Wal-Marts and one gas station, so my previous assumption that they were WalMart-only is apparently not correct.
