"Tiger's Eye Sumac Abstract" by Patti Deters. This close-up of a Tiger's Eye Sumac (Rhus typhina 'Bailtiger') shows the fine tooth leaves and the shaggy effect of the droopy, skinny leaves. What you can't see are the fuzzy stems that are so soft to touch. These small shrubs can be pruned into small trees and are quite striking in the garden with their lemon lime green color and distinctive shape. A cool-looking vending machine whose icons change depending on where you're standing; the three icons are a 7Up bottle, A&W bottle, and Sunkist bottle. Seen here is the 7Up Screen.
An older 7Up vending machine in pretty good condition, not counting the inane FSP message which someone put on it multiple times.
A Mountain Dew vending machine in Zanesville depicting a mid-air snowboarder and an older logo for the drink.
Biscuits made with only four ingredients, one of which is lemon-lime soda? I was definitely very skeptical, too, but I am so glad I tried these. They’re light, fluffy and insanely delicious. We have to try our darndest not to eat the whole dish of them the minute they come out of the oven. Definitely a new favorite at our table! You can find the very simple recipe here.

Adapted heavily from the filling in Fifi O'Neill's "Lemon Sour Cream Pie", this curd is rich but tangy thanks to Greek yogurt and citrus juices. It reminds me of key lime pie filling, and a crispy meringue "hat" makes for a great contrast without need for a crust.

One of the marmalades left over from my Christmas gifts this year, Lemon & Lime, recipe from Delia Smith’s Winter Collection or visit www.deliaonline.com. It has a lovely sharp refreshing taste which I strongly recommend that you try!

I didn't even know there were Sierra Mist specialized vending machines until spotting this one in Columbus. Pretty cool design, and not a bad price either.
I've only seen this style of 7Up machine once; looks pretty modern. Located in Columbus alongside a Kroger's.
1x Base Dermanail
2x Simply Smash-ing!
1x Dry Fast Top Coat Seche Vite
1x Black Shatter
Oiees!
\o/) no domingo resolvi estrear. Gente é muito legal! A combinação esmalte gloss e craker é tudo!

A 7up bottle vending machine in Warren, Ohio. Hard one to photograph with all the reflections it kept giving off.
A 7Up vending machine selling cans for a fairly good price. This machine is designed to look like a seven.

I watched a creepy movie last night about a dude killing a girl and there was this candle that the dad lit on top of a bottle (not like this, the bottle was horizontal) and it planted the idea of melted candle wax in my mind.
I never knew how long it took for a candle to melt completely! At first I started with about a foot long candle, after I had let it burn for 15 minutes I cut it in half. Still, I had to wait another hour or so, and "encouraged the melting with another flame. This is sitting on top of a massive sheet of paper and was lit from the left side with a blue studio light.

Part of the Spread... more later.
I also made a vegan Char Siu, Coconut "Shrimp", and Cluck Katsu with Tonkanese Sauce...they did not make it to the camera though.
I noticed red, white and green balloons which basically matched the color of the bottle coincidentally floating by as I was standing there.
Prairie Berry and Lasso Lemon Lime. The other flavors not pictured are Sasparilla and Orange Wrangler. Normally, I would have tried these flavors, but my mother-in-law is a huge Roy Rogers fan, so I let her have them, where she will probably keep them as a collectors item. These are produced by International Marketing Partners.
Alka Seltzer like Fizzies drink tablets - a candy tablet that is meant to go in a 6-ounce cup of water to make a fruity drink mix - Fizzies come in seven flavors - lemon-lime - root beer - sour apple - orange - blue razz - fruit punch - and cherry - and the animated Fizzard the Wizard character adorns the colorful wrappers - Fizzard casts spells like balla bo berry turn to cherry and floo fly florange turn to orange - And his spells most certainly work when placed in water - the tablets turn a regular glass of water vibrant colors - If you recall Fizzies first became popular in the 1950s and 60s
A vegetarian version of the popular Malaysian/ Singaporean coconut milk based spicy noodle soup. Here it is served with Chilli Sambal and lime wedges. I adapted Yotam Ottolenghi's recipe from his column in the Guardian.

To make my hair barrettes, I first draw and cute several different flowers into cardboard box. I use those patterns to trace and cut the flowers on to my fabric.
I arange the cut flowers how I want them, and sew them all together. After that. I sew on the clip. I pick out a seashell that I have collected on the beach, and glue into the center.
This Hair Barrette was made completely out of Androsia Fabric, the Hand Batik fabric of the Bahamas.

Shooting liquids with a flash seems easy at first, but it's quite tricky indeed.
For this shot, I put a remotely triggered flash under a white perspex panel, and another one on the right of the scene.
I'm not 100% happy with the result, but it's good enough for today shot.
