Beautiful autumn day In Ötztal, Tirol, Austria. Trying an old piton-protected roof that, probably, wasn't climbed anytime lately.

In the Machine Learning Studio, visitors can use computer vision and machine learning applications to discover how machines learn and perceive their environment. Working with tech trainers, they can build and train self-driving model cars here, program robots with facial recognition, and gain insights into how they can teach these devices a wide variety of activities. Step-by-step, they can experience not only how these technologies function, but also that everything the machines know is determined by us.

The Machine Learning Studio not only offers insights into the hidden inner life of our learning devices—it is also a place where prototypes and objects can be maintained or repaired by the tech trainers, and museum procedures are revealed that are usually kept behind the scenes.

Who knew that some dogs have to learn to cuddle?

From day one, Lollie Wonderdog was full of love and energy. But she had no idea how to express herself or direct her excitement. Her main forms of expression were a trotting pace around the house or yard, back and forth, back and forth; and a constantly flapping tongue—licking the air, but always pointed in the general direction of your face. Come to think of it, I should post a video of this phenomenon.

A few weeks have passed now, and we have taught Lollie to redirect some of her energy into productive things, like going for walks, solving treat-filled puzzles (kongs, Gatorade bottles, etc), and learning new commands. (Have I mentioned what a fast learner she is? It’s amazing how quickly she picks up new things.) But until a few days ago, she still didn’t know how to express affection.

You can imagine that my heart dissolved into a little puddle of goo the other night when she quietly walked over and plopped her 55 pounds of pure muscle into my lap, and rested her sweet face against my chest. As my hands stroked her still-skinny side and her mystery-scarred face, she slowly closed her eyes, looking oh-so-content.

I swear, this dog could melt anyone’s heart.

Detail from the canopy of the south pew of St Michael's, each corner held a figure representing a different concept; this particular one is learning.

St Michael's was built in the c15th as the domestic chapel for Rycote Park manor house for its owner, Sir Richard Quatremaine. Quatremaine died without issue, and ownership transferred to the family of Sibil, Quatremaine's wife. In 1521 the manor house was passed over to Sir John Heron, Treasurer of the Household to both Henrys VII and VIII; it's probably during this time that the manor hourse was demolished and replaced by Rycote Palace. On Heron's death, the land passed over to his son, Giles, who was forced to sell it in 1539 to Sir John Williams (who was closer in favour to Henry). After Williams's death, the land passed into the Norreys family via Williams's son-in-law, Henry Norris, 1st Baron Norreys. On the 2nd Baron's death, the lands and title passed onto his nephew James Bertie, and remained in the family until the early c19th. During this time, the palace was rebuilt after a fire in 1745 and Lancelot Capability Brown (1716-1783) redeveloped the landscape in 1778. However, the manor was past its heyday, the house was sold off in lots early in the 1800s. A manor house (of sorts) remains, with the stables converted in the 1920s.

Perhaps the height of the palace was during the Tudor period, Henry VIII and Catherine Howard spent their honeymoon here; Henry's daughter Elizabeth visited Rycote on her way to her confinement at Woodstock (Williams being instructed to be her guard by Queen Mary I), Elizabeth would visit a further 5 times during her own reign.

Throughout all this time, the chapel remained alongside; slowly changed inside, shifting from Roman Catholic to High Anglican, extended and redecorated, always watching.

All the safety in the world can't accomodate for developing a human sense of danger. There were some quite steep passages on this boulder, but easily managed if you apply the right attitude. It's amazing how quickly kids learn how to do this.

And let me shout this, mothers of the world: They learn it by DOING IT, not by NOT DOING IT!

Learning Route on Natural Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation best practices covered several districts in Kenya. The event was organized by Procasur with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

AGXL, Students can choose their own Kids Learning style, and pace at which they want to Learn With Fun. It also gives flexibility to students to concentrate on specific subjects more than others. It extensively helps students to concentrate more on weaker areas. This also helps in the proper planning of studies and targeting on specific topics.

I've seen so many photographers on the internet talk about how easier editing is with a tablet so i decided to give it a try and i was lucky enough to receive photoshop elements with the tablet. That program is sooooo complicated lol today i messed around with the lens flare options and the other stuff. this image was edited 3 times because the program crashed on me twice x.x but i finally got to finish it and then i did the color editing with lightroom 2. If anyone have any photoshop tips or great places to learn from i would be joyful ro hear them :D

but I'm loving this new style of photography. everything is so bright and nice. lol
