Have a "Happy Macro Monday"

and stay safe.

It looked as if the Cottonwood tree was leaning on the other tree.

Lean on me when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

'Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on.

One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.

Hello There!

I was just about to leave the boardwalk and thought I saw something move in the water. It turned out to be a duckweed-covered Painted Turtle who quickly made its way onto shore and immediately lay its head on the other turtle. It was a neat moment to observe, especially because I don't have much experience with turtles.

My best friend. My sister from another mister. My mom's second daughter. I am Sarah. She is Sara. Hatred when we first met. Instant connection when we came back into each other's lives for the second time. Tears. Break-ups. Boys. Laughs. Inside Jokes. Ups. Downs. What haven't we been through in the past 7 years of friendship?

The most kind and loving person in the world. I am so lucky to have her as a best friend :-)

This was taken at the Muttart Conservatory. It will be a while before we see ours. We have more snow in the forecast for he next 2 weeks! Sigh

Lean not on thine own understanding. But always back up your files.

The dead pine tree on the right had snapped almost at ground level but had fallen only a metre or so before it came to rest against the larger, living one on the left. Seen on Hampstead Heath.

It is still about depending on yourself.

Nothing but the shell left of this old homestead being held up by trees.

A happy pair..just like my husband and I :-) He is out in the garage working on his car every chance he gets while I am working on my photos. I am part way through finding squirrel images that will work in square format for my little book..it will be 7 x 7 inches I think. Some of the images I like a lot are best at 8 x 10, though, so it is making it harder to decide which ones to use. The sun is shining, I have a prop on the deck waiting for a squirrel to come along (no luck this afternoon) and I am sitting at my computer...this will feel awesome when I am finished and can send all the photos off to the publisher. Happy weekend everyone wherever you are!

(just finding so many images on my computer that I never shared...and deleting lots more as I go along searching for squirrel photos.)
