For the Macro Mondays challenge "Buttons and Bows" (December 4th 2017)
Old buttons from a corduroy jacket. The jacket is long past its prime, but the buttons are just too lovely to throw away!

Just reach out your hand to show you care
The greatest gift is the one you share"

This old abandoned house is still good for something - keeping other abandoned stuff from falling to the ground.
FOR SHELLYKAY...love you sister!!!
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Words to the Picture
A spontaneous photoshoot with my Girlfriend on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This bridge where she stands is near our home. It was perfect cuz there’s no „traffic“. We could peacefully do some shots. She was in the mood for a shooting, i needed to practice a little with portrait photography .. a perfect combination.
A portrait shot is not that easy as some big players may let it look like. Got to get the right emotion, pose or background. Pay attention of the background, you may get the first two perfectly but if you got a bad background, the picture is ruined.
In advance

"Por la tarde,
El rayo de sol agudo y preciso, ya amante,
Se detiene...
Se ilumina,
Inmensa, la paz.....
Y el silencio
De tanta duración humana va tan lejos
Que el instante
Se yergue universal y dorado en la tarde." "Cánticos" Jorge Guillén.
Without the support of its companion, this aged barn would collapse into total ruin. As our gait and awareness have slowed, my wife of 46 years and I find as we slip into our sunset years we find a greater need for support from each other than ever in our lives.
I've been going through old photos trying to weed through them - delete most, send some to clients and put some in the patient's file just so we have a photo of them. I keep coming across photos that are so sweet and really do show the kind of care that people's pets get when their pet comes into the building but they have to stay outside and wait in their cars.
Samantha is 18 years old and was sort of nervous. While the doctor was talking to the client on the phone, Sarah snuggled with Samantha and I took a quick photo.

The first Daffodil I've pointed a lens at this year. Just a tiny one beginning to open after another bout of rain.

Surfing in Southern California is way of life for some, a language, an attitude and an everyday salute to just being there - come rain, shine or absolute calm. Some people go to church...every day. And the big Kahuna is always waiting around the corner.

Shot during the historic snow and freezing temps this past February. Let's say I was not prepared for the weather, due to a lack of planning on my part. Using an old 4x5 in such temps adds another challenge to keep my fingers from falling off.
