Hello There!
I was just about to leave the boardwalk and thought I saw something move in the water. It turned out to be a duckweed-covered Painted Turtle who quickly made its way onto shore and immediately lay its head on the other turtle. It was a neat moment to observe, especially because I don't have much experience with turtles.

The dead pine tree on the right had snapped almost at ground level but had fallen only a metre or so before it came to rest against the larger, living one on the left. Seen on Hampstead Heath.
Taken at 04:17am last July it was my opening photo of that morning.The opposing lean of the rock column and rig crane attracted me to this composition. A f11 aperture at 74mm helped to keep the two subjects in relative sharp focus and compress the distance between them. Although the colours of the rig contrasted with the blue hour I was never satisfied with the colours from the camera and switched to black and white which still did not do it for me. So I splashed around in LR profiles and decide this desaturated look was what I was after, I think.
Cow moose at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. This cow with a calf were close to the road and didn't seem to mind a photographer stopping and moving around on the road for better pics.
Near Manteigas on Serra da Estrela there is a waterfall called Poço do Inferno, in English I believe it's Inferno's Pit.
It's not huge, I don't really would say is big at all compared with all the waterfalls I've seen in life. But the name make you think twice about it.
But one thing is certain, it is beautiful, different and not easy to photograph, at least not in a creative way.
Is so well known there that the photos you see are always alike, just because, to be true, that's one of the most interesting features of it, the bridge over the rock to reach the waterfall with the water going below the bridge making an S.
So I leaned down, went up the rocks, enter the cold water in search of the image I took and shared now with you.
