my roommate Frank & I did some experiemting putting stuff on my light table.

this was one of my results. Here's one of Frank's.

 

that smudge in the top right is some melted wax from when I placed a candle on the table. Couldn't clean it off but Frank says it adds character to the image. maybe he's right?

Red maple leaf on my Canadian 'Lipstick' maple - in the front garden of our home in Castle Hill, Sydney, Australia. Photo taken with my Canon 60D and a macro lens.

I walked past my car and seen this leaf. I then went in and grabbed the camera. Didn't have time to wash the car first

A break in the weather presented an opportunity to take a walk with the kids to the local lake...this is taken along the path as I looked up.

A leaf after a spring rain

This leaf was blowing in the breeze, but was still one moment while I attempted to capture it. View large.

Found a new toy today: An Elinchrom Fiberlight. A fiber optic cable attachment for Elinchrom studio lights. It offers great control of light on small objects. Found some interesting leaves in the garden and set about backlighting them. This was the result.

 

Lighting info:

 

Leaf was lit from directly behind with a single fiber optic cable so the light would not spill onto the outer edges.
