Walking past this fountain in Chicago, I had to wonder if there is lead in that paint. Because that is the person I am. I blame every health problem on my past city living in Chicago. I get that from my parents, who in passing mentioned how many people on our block died from cancer.
Regardless of what's in the paint, it makes a great piece of art.
Chicago does have some of the best tasting water.

These two weights, the left one being an elongated cube weighing 150g (5oz.) the other a bi-conical globular shape weighing 60g. (2oz.) have iron fixing points evident. The former in the top, also has a hole in the base within a crudely formed countersunk hollow. The latter has the iron fixing going right through. Both could be post-medieval in date, especially when the weights are taken into consideration. Alternatively, hand-held steelyard balances required weights like this, such items dating from the Roman period right through into the medieval period. The latter seems the more probable. Found in the Lune Valley, Cumbria.
