Had the pleasure of shooting Jordy and Brenna's wedding in San Diego this weekend!

In sickness and in health, in good and in bad, in joy and in sorrow. Detail of the spires of the LDS Temple in Oakland, California. Clouds were moving in front of the sun and shaded one of the spires.

LDS Temple reflection - Salt Lake City, UT.

It was a beautiful sunrise in Idaho Falls and I was grateful for the lack of wind to facilitate the still water and the reflection of the Idaho Falls Temple in the Snake River.

Hey everyone, I have been offline for a little while as I was visiting family in Salt Lake City before heading to the Palouse this weekend for a 5 day photo tour!

This is the temple of all temples for the LDS Church! It is a beautiful piece of architecture, but somewhat hard to get some great shots as this is right in the center of downtown. Downtown is experiencing a building boom, where all of these skyscrapers are going up around the temple.

This is a three exposure capture (+2,0,-2) merged in Photomatix, and small crop in Photoshop as well as cloned out all of the coins in the reflecting pool. I flipped my camera on it's side to capture the reflection of the temple. My lens was wide open, all 10mm of it! The only way to get the entire reflection would be to have an elevated platform in front of the reflecting pool and I am sure that officials would not have liked that! I also used the Topaz adjust Plug In in the processing.

Thanks for all of the comments and views. I will be on and off for the next week as my photo tour in the Palouse starts on Sunday. I will be heading up to Glacier National Park, hoping to capture some great landscape shots!

The Salt Lake Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) on Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dedicated in 1893, it is the largest LDS temple by floor area.

The Phoenix Arizona Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), in the city of Glendale, Arizona. It was completed in 2014 and is the 144th temple of the LDS Church. The temple is considered a house of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world.

I spent a couple of days in Phoenix, Arizona last week visiting my family. I have photographed the Mormon temple in Mesa where my sister lives and I have always wanted to photograph this temple which is located in the city of Glendale. My only wish was that they turn off the water flowing into the reflecting pool to get a better still reflection. I guess next time I visit the temple grounds I'll ask the Mormon members to pray on that!

Thanks guys for all your views, comments and favs!

Happy Travels!

The LDS Temple in central Idaho Falls dominates the city sky line.

Beginning March 16, 2015, the temple closed for renovations that are anticipated to take approximately 18 months.

TEMPLE FACTS:

The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple was the first temple built in Idaho.

The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple was the only temple dedicated by President George Albert Smith.

The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple was the first temple designed with a central spire. (The design represented a return to the use of spires, as the three previously dedicated temples featured no towers or spires.)

The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple was originally named the Idaho Falls Temple.

The angel Moroni statue atop the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is a casting made by LaVar Wallgren of the statue created by Torlief Knaphus for the Washington D.C. Ward chapel, which he made as a replica of the Cyrus E. Dallin's statue atop the Salt Lake Temple. (Other castings of this statue stand atop the Boston Massachusetts Temple and formerly atop the Atlanta Georgia Temple.)

This shot is straight off the camera, one of those rare shots where I didn't feel like I wanted to do anything with it. I still can't get over the sky last night, just incredible.

Just as the title would imply, this was taken in Salt Lake City, Utah. This building took nearly 50 years to build, and is comprised, externally, entirely of granite. All sorts of super-secret things transpire within. Mostly, secret handshakes and lime-Jello body-shots.
